Psalm 148

Praise the Name of the Lord

1 *[See Ps. 147:20above] Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord*[ver. 7]; See Ps. 69:34from the heavens;

praise him *Matt. 21:9in the heights!

2 Praise him, all his angels;

praise him, all his *See Ps. 103:20,21hosts!

3 Praise him, sun and moon,

praise him, all you shining stars!

4 Praise him, you *Ps. 68:33;Deut. 10:14;Neh. 9:6;See 1 Kgs. 8:27highest heavens,

and you *Gen. 1:7waters above the heavens!

5 *ver. 13Let them praise the name of the Lord!

10 *Gen. 1:24Beasts and all livestock,

creeping things and *Gen. 1:20,21flying birds!

11 Kings of the earth and *[Rev. 7:9]all peoples,

princes and all rulers of the earth!

12 Young men and maidens together,

old men and children!

13 *ver. 5Let them praise the name of the Lord,

for *Ps. 8:1his name alone is exalted;
