Our Eyes Look to the Lord Our God

1 To you I *Ps. 121:1;[Ps. 141:8]; See Ps. 25:15lift up my eyes,

O you who are *See Ps. 2:4enthroned in the heavens!

2 Behold, as the eyes of servants

look to the hand of their master,

as the eyes of a maidservant

to the hand of her mistress,

so our eyes look to the Lord our God,

till he has mercy upon us.

3 *Ps. 4:1Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us,

for we have had more than enough of *[Neh. 4:4]contempt.

4 Our soul has had more than enough

of *[Neh. 2:19] the scorn of *Isa. 32:9,11;Amos 6:1those who are at ease,
