Send Out Your Light and Your Truth

1 *Ps. 7:8;26:1Vindicate me, O God, and *See 1 Sam. 24:15defend my cause

against an ungodly people,

from *Ps. 5:6the deceitful and unjust man

deliver me!

2 For you are *Ps. 31:4the God in whom I take refuge;

why have you *See Ps. 44:9rejected me?

Why do I *Ps. 42:9go about mourning

because of the oppression of the enemy?

3 *Ps. 40:11;57:3Send out your light and your truth;

let them lead me;

let them bring me to your *See Ps. 2:6;46:4holy hill

and to your *Ps. 84:1dwelling!

4 Then I will go to the altar of God,

to God my exceeding joy,

and I will praise you with the lyre,

O God, my God.

5 *See Ps. 42:5Why are you cast down, O my soul,

and why are you in turmoil within me?

*Ps. 42:5,11Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,

my salvation and my God.
