Psalm 75

God Will Judge with Equity

1 We give thanks to you, O God;

we give thanks, for your name is *Ps. 145:18near.

We*75:1 Hebrew They recount your wondrous deeds.

2 "At *Dan. 8:19;Hab. 2:3;See Ps. 102:13the set time that I appoint

I will judge *Ps. 17:2with equity.

3 When the earth *Isa. 24:19totters, and all its inhabitants,

it is I who keep steady its *1 Sam. 2:8pillars. Selah

4 I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’

and to the wicked, *ver. 10;Zech. 1:21‘Do not lift up your horn;

5 do not lift up your horn on high,

or speak with haughty neck.’"

6 For not from the east or from the west

and not from the wilderness comes *See Ps. 3:3lifting up,

7 but it is *See Ps. 50:6God who executes judgment,

*1 Sam. 2:7;Dan. 2:21putting down one and lifting up another.

8 *See Job 21:20For in the hand of the Lord there is *Ps. 11:6a cup

with foaming wine, *Prov. 23:30well mixed,

and he pours out from it,

and all the wicked of the earth

shall *Ps. 73:10drain it down to the dregs.

9 But I will declare it forever;

I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
