1. KJV King James Version

9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. 10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

2. NIV New International Version

9 "To me this is like the days of Noah,

when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth.

So now I have sworn not to be angry with you,

   never to rebuke you again.

10 Though the mountains be shaken

   and the hills be removed,

yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken

nor my covenant of peace be removed,"

says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

3. NLT New Living Translation

9 "Just as I swore in the time of Noah

that I would never again let a flood cover the earth,

   so now I swear

that I will never again be angry and punish you.

10 For the mountains may move

   and the hills disappear,

but even then my faithful love for you will remain.

My covenant of blessing will never be broken,"

says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

8. MSG The Message

9,10 "This exile is just like the days of Noah for me:

I promised then that the waters of Noah

would never again flood the earth.

I’m promising now no more anger,

   no more dressing you down.

For even if the mountains walk away

and the hills fall to pieces,

My love won’t walk away from you,

my covenant commitment of peace won’t fall apart."

The God who has compassion on you says so.
