Oséias 5

1 Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor. 2 And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.*5.2 though: or, and*5.2 a rebuker: Heb. a correction 3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled. 4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.*5.4 They will…: or, Their doings will not suffer them*5.4 frame: Heb. give 5 And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them. 6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them. 7 They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.

8 Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Beth-aven, after thee, O Benjamin. 9 Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be. 10 The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water. 11 Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment. 12 Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.*5.12 rottenness: or, a worm 13 When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.*5.13 king Jareb: or, the king of Jareb: or, the king that should plead 14 For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.

1 Slyštež to, ó kněží, a pozorujte, dome Izraelský, i dome královský, poslouchejte, nebo proti vám soud tento jest, proto že jste osídlo v Masfa, a sítka rozestřená na vrchu Tábor. 2 Nýbrž k zabíjení uchylujíce se, připadají k zemi, ale já ztresci každého z nich. 3 Známť já Efraima, a Izrael není ukryt přede mnou; nebo nyní smilníš, Efraime, poškvrňuje se Izrael. 4 Nemají se k tomu, aby se obrátili k Bohu svému, proto že duch smilství mezi nimi jest, Hospodina pak znáti nechtějí, 5 Tak že hrdost Izraelova svědčí vůči proti němu; protož Izrael i Efraim padnou pro nepravost svou, padne také i Juda s nimi. 6 S stády bravů a skotů svých půjdou hledati Hospodina, však nenaleznou; vzdáliltě se od nich. 7 Hospodinu se zpronevěřili, nebo syny cizí zplodili; jižť je zžíře měsíc i s jměním jejich. 8 Trubte trubou v Gabaa, a na pozoun v Ráma; křičte v Betaven: Po tobě, ó Beniamine. 9 Efraim zpuštěn bude v den kázně, v němž po pokoleních Izraelských uvedu v známost pravdu. 10 Knížata Judská jsou podobná těm, kteříž přenášejí mezník; vyleji na ně jako vodu prchlivost svou. 11 Utištěn jest Efraim, potřín soudem, však sobě libuje choditi za rozkazem. 12 Protož i já byl jsem jako mol Efraimovi, a jako hnis domu Judovu. 13 Pročež vida Efraim neduh svůj, a Juda nežit svůj, utekl se Efraim k Assurovi, a poslal k králi, kterýž by se o něj zasadil. Ale on nebude moci zhojiti vás, ani uzdraviti vás od nežitů. 14 Nebo já jsem jako lítý lev Efraimovi, a jako lvíče domu Judovu; já, já uchvátím a ujdu, vezmu, a žádný nevytrhne. 15 Odejda, navrátím se na místo své, až se vinni dadí, a hledati budou tváři mé.
