Isaías 15

1 The burden of Moab. Prophérie contre le pays de Moab.

1 La charge de Moab ; parce que Har de Moab a été ravagée de nuit, il a été défait ; parce que Kir de Moab a été saccagée de nuit, il a été défait. 2 Il est monté à Bajith, et à Dibon, dans les hauts lieux, pour pleurer ; Moab hurlera sur Nébo, et sur Médeba, toutes ses têtes seront chauves, et toute barbe sera rasée. 3 On sera ceint de sacs dans ses rues, chacun hurlera fondant en larmes sur ses toits, et dans ses places. 4 Hesbon et Elhalé se sont écriées, leur voix a été ouïe jusqu’à Jahats ; c’est pourquoi ceux de Moab qui seront équipés pour aller à la guerre, jetteront des cris lamentables, son âme se tourmentera au dedans de lui. 5 Mon coeur crie à cause de Moab ; ses fugitifs s’en sont fuis jusqu’à Tsohar, comme une génisse de trois ans ; car on montera par la montée de Luhith avec des pleurs, et on fera retentir le cri de la plaie au chemin de Horonajim. 6 Même les eaux de Nimrim ne seront que désolations, même le foin est déjà séché, l’herbe a été consumée, et il n’y a point de verdure. 7 Il aura acquis des richesses en abondance, afin que ce qu’ils auront réservé soit porté dans la vallée des Arabes. 8 Car le cri a environné la contrée de Moab ; son hurlement ira jusqu’à Eglajim, et son hurlement jusqu’à Béer-Elim. 9 Même les eaux de Dimon ont été remplies de sang ; car j’ajouterai un surcroît sur Dimon, savoir le lion à ceux qui seront réchappés de Moab, et au résidu du pays.
