1 Or trois jours après on faisait des noces à Cana de Galilée, et la mère de Jésus était là.
2 Et Jésus fut aussi convié aux noces, avec ses Disciples.
3 Et le vin étant venu à manquer, la mère de Jésus lui dit : ils n'ont point de vin.
4 Mais Jésus lui répondit : qu'y a-t-il entre moi et toi, femme? mon heure n'est point encore venue.
5 Sa mère dit aux serviteurs : faites tout ce qu'il vous dira.
6 Or il y avait là six vaisseaux de pierre, mis selon l'usage de la purification des Juifs, dont chacun tenait deux ou trois mesures.
7 Et Jésus leur dit : emplissez d'eau ces vaisseaux. Et ils les emplirent jusques au haut.
8 Puis il leur dit : versez-en maintenant, et portez-en au maître d'hôtel. Et ils lui en portèrent.
9 Quand le maître d'hôtel eut goûté l'eau qui avait été changée en vin, (or il ne savait pas d'où cela venait, mais les serviteurs qui avaient puisé l'eau, le savaient bien,) il s'adressa à l'époux.
10 Et lui dit : tout homme sert le bon vin le premier, et puis le moindre après qu'on a bu plus largement; [mais] toi, tu as gardé le bon vin jusqu'à maintenant.
11 Jésus fit ce premier miracle à Cana de Galilée, et il manifesta sa gloire, et ses Disciples crurent en lui.
12 Après cela il descendit à Capernaüm avec sa mère, et ses frères, et ses Disciples; mais ils y demeurèrent peu de jours.
13 Car la Pâque des Juifs était proche; c'est pourquoi Jésus monta à Jérusalem.
14 Et il trouva dans le Temple des gens qui vendaient des bœufs, et des brebis, et des pigeons; et les changeurs qui y étaient assis.
15 Et ayant fait un fouet avec de petites cordes, il les chassa tous du Temple, avec les brebis, et les bœufs; et il répandit la monnaie des changeurs, et renversa les tables.
16 Et il dit à ceux qui vendaient des pigeons : ôtez ces choses d'ici, [et] ne faites pas de la Maison de mon Père un lieu de marché.
17 Alors ses Disciples se souvinrent qu'il était écrit : le zèle de ta Maison m'a rongé.
18 Mais les Juifs prenant la parole, lui dirent : quel miracle nous montres-tu, pour entreprendre de faire de telles choses?
19 Jésus répondit, et leur dit : abattez ce Temple, et en trois jours je le relèverai.
20 Et les Juifs dirent : on a été quarante-six ans à bâtir ce Temple, et tu le relèveras dans trois jours!
21 Mais il parlait du Temple, de son corps.
22 C'est pourquoi lorsqu'il fut ressuscité des morts, ses Disciples se souvinrent qu'il leur avait dit cela, et ils crurent à l'Ecriture, et à la parole que Jésus avait dite.
23 Et comme il était à Jérusalem le [jour de] la fête de Pâque, plusieurs crurent en son Nom, contemplant les miracles qu'il faisait.
24 Mais Jésus ne se fiait point à eux, parce qu'il les connaissait tous;
25 Et qu'il n'avait pas besoin que personne lui rendit témoignage d'[aucun] homme; car lui-même savait ce qui était dans l'homme.
1 On the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said unto him, They have no wine.
4 Jesus said unto her, Woman, what have I to do with you? my hour has not yet come.
5 His mother said unto the servants, whatsoever he says unto you, do it.
6 And there were set there six water pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons each.
7 Jesus said unto them, Fill the water pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8 And he said unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the steward of the feast. And they bore it.
9 When the steward of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not from where it was: (but the servants who drew the water knew;) the steward of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 And said unto him, Every man at the beginning does set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but you have kept the good wine until now.
11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.
13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things away; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of your house has consumed me.
18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign show you unto us, seeing that you do these things?
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and will you raise it up in three days?
21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.
22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.
