1 Outra vez levantei os olhos e vi, e eis que quatro carruagens saíam do meio de dois montes, e estes montes eram de bronze. 2 Na primeira carruagem, os cavalos eram vermelhos; na segunda, eram pretos; 3 na terceira, eram brancos; e na quarta, eram baios. Todos eram fortes. 4 Então perguntei ao anjo que falava comigo:

— Meu senhor, o que é isto?

5 O anjo respondeu:

— São os quatro ventos do céu, que saem de onde estavam diante do Senhor de toda a terra. 6 A carruagem em que estão os cavalos pretos sai para a terra do Norte. Os cavalos brancos saem após eles, e os cavalos baios vão para a terra do Sul. 7 Assim, os cavalos fortes saem, forcejando para seguir adiante, para percorrerem a terra.

O Senhor lhes disse:

— Vão e percorram a terra.

E eles percorriam a terra. 8 Então ele me chamou e me disse:

— Eis que aqueles que saíram para a terra do Norte fazem o meu Espírito repousar na terra do Norte.

9 A palavra do Senhor veio a mim, dizendo:

10 — Receba o que foi trazido pelos exilados Heldai, Tobias e Jedaías, que voltaram da Babilônia, e no mesmo dia entre na casa de Josias, filho de Sofonias. 11 Receba a prata e o ouro, faça uma coroa e coloque-a na cabeça do sumo sacerdote Josué, filho de Jozadaque. 12 E diga-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: "Eis aqui o homem cujo nome é Renovo. Ele brotará do seu lugar e edificará o templo do Senhor. 13 Ele mesmo edificará o templo do Senhor e será revestido de glória. Ele se assentará no seu trono, e dominará, e será sacerdote no seu trono; e reinará perfeita união entre ambos os ofícios. 14 A coroa será para Helém, para Tobias, para Jedaías e para Hem, filho de Sofonias, como memorial no templo do Senhor. 15 Aqueles que estão longe virão e ajudarão a edificar o templo do Senhor, e vocês saberão que o Senhor dos Exércitos me enviou a vocês. Isto acontecerá se vocês ouvirem atentamente a voz do Senhor, seu Deus."

1 And again I lifted up my eyes, and looked. And, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of brass.2 In the first chariot were red horses, and in the second chariot black horses,3 and in the third chariot white horses, and in the fourth chariot strong grizzled horses.4 Then I answered and said to the [heavenly] agent who talked with me, What are these, my lord?5 And the [heavenly] agent answered and said to me, These are the four winds of heaven, which go forth from standing before LORD of all the earth.6 [The chariot] in which are the black horses goes forth toward the north country, and the white went forth after them, and the grizzled went forth toward the south country.7 And the strong ones went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth. And he said, Get you from here. Walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.8 Then he cried to me, and spoke to me, saying, Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.9 And the word of LORD came to me, saying,10 Take from those of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.11 Yea, take [from them] silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.12 And speak to him, saying, Thus speaks LORD of hosts, saying, Behold, the man whose name is the Branch. And he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of LORD,13 even he shall build the temple of LORD. And he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne. And he shall be a priest upon his throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.14 And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of LORD.15 And those who are far off shall come and build in the temple of LORD. And ye shall know that LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And [this] shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of LORD your God.
