1 Moisés disse ao povo:

— Nenhum homem castrado ou que tenha o membro cortado poderá fazer parte do povo de Deus, o Senhor.

2 — Nenhum filho ilegítimo fará parte do povo do Senhor, nem ele nem os seus descendentes até dez gerações.

3 — Nenhum amonita ou moabita, até a décima geração, fará parte do povo de Deus, o Senhor. Eles ficarão de fora 4 porque, quando vocês estavam saindo do Egito, eles não lhes deram comida nem água. E também porque pagaram Balaão, filho de Beor, da cidade de Petor, na Mesopotâmia, para amaldiçoar vocês. 5 Mas o Senhor, nosso Deus, não atendeu o pedido de Balaão; pelo contrário, Deus virou a maldição em bênção porque ama vocês. 6 Nunca façam coisa alguma para o bem ou proveito desses povos.

7 — Não desprezem os edomitas, pois eles são seus parentes ; nem desprezem os egípcios, pois vocês viveram como estrangeiros na terra deles. 8 Dos netos em diante, os descendentes dos edomitas e dos egípcios que morarem na terra de vocês poderão fazer parte do povo de Deus.

9 — Quando estiverem acampados durante uma guerra, procurem evitar qualquer coisa que os torne impuros. 10 Se durante a noite alguém ficar impuro por causa da perda de esperma, sairá do acampamento de manhã. 11 À tarde tomará um banho e ao pôr do sol poderá voltar ao acampamento.

12 — Arranjem um lugar fora do acampamento onde poderão fazer necessidade. 13 Junto com as suas armas levem uma pá e, antes de fazer necessidade, cavem um buraco e depois cubram as fezes com terra.

14 — O Senhor, nosso Deus, está presente no acampamento com vocês, para protegê-los e para fazer com que vocês derrotem os inimigos. Portanto, conservem o acampamento puro a fim de que Deus não encontre nele nenhuma coisa que o ofenda, para que ele não os abandone e vá embora.

15 — Se um escravo fugir do dono e vier pedir que você lhe dê proteção, não o entregue ao dono. 16 Ele deverá ficar morando em qualquer cidade israelita que quiser e não poderá ser maltratado.

17 — Nenhum israelita, mulher ou homem, praticará a prostituição nos templos pagãos . 18 O dinheiro ganho desse modo não poderá ser levado ao Templo do Senhor para pagamento de uma promessa feita ao Senhor, nosso Deus. Deus detesta esse dinheiro.

19 — Não cobrem juros quando emprestarem dinheiro, comida ou qualquer outra coisa a um israelita. 20 Vocês poderão cobrar juros dos estrangeiros; mas não cobrem de outro israelita, para que o Senhor, nosso Deus, abençoe tudo o que vocês fizerem na terra que vai ser de vocês.

21 — Quando você fizer uma promessa ao Senhor, nosso Deus, não demore a cumpri-la. Deus exige que a promessa seja cumprida; e é pecado deixar de fazer aquilo que você prometeu. 22 Não é pecado deixar de fazer uma promessa a Deus; 23 mas, se você, por vontade própria, fizer uma promessa, então deverá cumpri-la sem falta.

24 — Quando estiver andando num caminho que atravessa a plantação de uvas de outro israelita, você poderá comer todas as uvas que quiser, porém não carregue uvas num cesto. 25 E, quando estiver atravessando o campo de trigo ou de cevada que pertence a outro israelita, você poderá comer todas as espigas que puder colher com as mãos; porém não use uma foice para colher as espigas.

1 He who is wounded in the stones, or has his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.2 No one of illegitimate birth shall enter into the assembly of the Lord; even to the tenth generation shall none of his enter into the assembly of the Lord.3 An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord; even to the tenth generation shall none belonging to them enter into the assembly of the Lord forever:4 because they did not meet you with bread and with water in the way, when you came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.5 Nevertheless the Lord your God wouldn't listen to Balaam; but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because the Lord your God loved you.6 You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.7 You shall not abhor an Edomite; for he is your brother: you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.8 The children of the third generation who are born to them shall enter into the assembly of the Lord.9 When you go forth in camp against your enemies, then you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.10 If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of that which happens him by night, then shall he go outside of the camp. He shall not come within the camp:11 but it shall be, when evening comes on, he shall bathe himself in water; and when the sun is down, he shall come within the camp.12 You shall have a place also outside of the camp, where you shall go outside there;13 and you shall have a spade among your tools; and it shall be, when you sit down outside, you shall dig therewith, and shall turn and cover that which comes from you:14 for the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.15 You shall not deliver to his master a servant who is escaped from his master to you:16 he shall dwell with you, in the midst of you, in the place which he shall choose within one of your gates, where it pleases him best: you shall not oppress him.17 There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Israel.18 You shall not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the wages of a dog, into the house of the Lord your God for any vow: for even both these are an abomination to the Lord your God.19 You shall not lend on interest to your brother; interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent on interest:20 to a foreigner you may lend on interest; but to your brother you shall not lend on interest, that the Lord your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.21 When you shall vow a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not be slack to pay it: for the Lord your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.22 But if you shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in you.23 That which is gone out of your lips you shall observe and do; according as you have vowed to the Lord your God, a freewill offering, which you have promised with your mouth.24 When you come into your neighbor's vineyard, then you may eat of grapes your fill at your own pleasure; but you shall not put any in your vessel.25 When you come into your neighbor's standing grain, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not move a sickle to your neighbor's standing grain.
