1 Eu amo Sião e por isso não me calarei;

não descansarei até que a sua vitória brilhe como o sol,

e a sua salvação brilhe como uma tocha acesa.

2 Jerusalém, todas as nações verão a sua vitória,

todos os reis ficarão admirados com a sua beleza.

Você terá um novo nome,

um nome que o Senhor lhe dará.

3 Você será como uma bela coroa

que pertence ao Senhor, seu Deus.

4 Nunca mais a chamarão de "Abandonada",

e a sua terra não será mais chamada de "Arrasada".

Você será chamada de "Minha querida",

e a sua terra, de "Minha esposa".

Pois o Senhor está contente com você,

e a sua terra será a esposa dele.

5 Assim como um moço casa com a sua noiva,

também aquele que a construiu casará com você;

assim como o noivo fica feliz com a noiva,

também o seu Deus se alegrará com você.

6 Nas muralhas de Jerusalém,

o Senhor colocou vigias,

que não deverão ficar calados

nem de dia nem de noite.

Vocês, vigias, que fazem com que Deus lembre das suas promessas,

não descansem,

7 nem deixem que ele descanse

até que tenha reconstruído Jerusalém,

fazendo dela uma cidade elogiada no mundo inteiro.

8 Com o seu forte braço direito levantado,

o Senhor fez ao seu povo este juramento:

"Nunca mais deixarei que o seu trigo

seja comido pelos seus inimigos,

nem permitirei que o seu vinho,

que vocês fizeram com tanto trabalho,

seja bebido por estrangeiros.

9 Vocês mesmos colherão o seu trigo,

comerão o pão e louvarão a mim, o Senhor.

Vocês mesmos colherão as suas uvas

e beberão o vinho nos pátios do meu Templo."

10 Moradores de Jerusalém, saiam da cidade

e preparem o caminho para o seu povo que está voltando.

Aplanem a estrada, tirem todas as pedras

e levantem uma bandeira como sinal

para que todos os povos saibam o que está acontecendo.

11 Pelo mundo inteiro,

o Senhor anunciou esta mensagem:

"Digam ao povo de Jerusalém

que o seu Salvador está chegando.

Ele traz consigo o povo que ele salvou."

12 Vocês serão chamados de "Povo Santo",

o "Povo que o Senhor Salvou".

Jerusalém será chamada de "Aquela que Deus Ama",

"Cidade que Deus não Abandonou".

1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns.2 The nations shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory, and you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.3 You shall also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.4 You shall no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall your land any more be termed Desolate: but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married.5 For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons shall marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so your God will rejoice over you.6 I have set watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: you who call on the Lord, take no rest,7 and give him no rest, until he establishes, and until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.8 The Lord has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength,"Surely I will no more give your grain to be food for your enemies; and foreigners shall not drink your new wine, for which you have labored:9 but those who have garnered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and those who have gathered it shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary."10 Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way of the people! Cast up, cast up the highway! Gather out the stones! Lift up a banner for the peoples.11 Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth,"Say to the daughter of Zion,'Behold, your salvation comes.Behold, his reward is with him,and his recompense before him.'"12 They shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and you shall be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.
