1 Disse o Senhor a Moisés:2 "Diga o seguinte aos israelitas: Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês.3 Não procedam como se procede no Egito, onde vocês moraram, nem como se procede na terra de Canaã, para onde os estou levando. Não sigam as suas práticas.4 Pratiquem as minhas ordenanças, obedeçam aos meus decretos e sigam-nos. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês.5 Obedeçam aos meus decretos e ordenanças, pois o homem que os praticar viverá por eles. Eu sou o Senhor.6 "Ninguém poderá se aproximar de uma parenta próxima para se envolver sexualmente com ela. Eu sou o Senhor.7 "Não desonre o seu pai, envolvendo-se sexualmente com a sua mãe. Ela é sua mãe; não se envolva sexualmente com ela.8 "Não se envolva sexualmente com a mulher do seu pai; isso desonraria seu pai.9 "Não se envolva sexualmente com a sua irmã, filha do seu pai ou da sua mãe, tenha ela nascido na mesma casa ou em outro lugar.10 "Não se envolva sexualmente com a filha do seu filho ou com a filha da sua filha; isso desonraria você.11 "Não se envolva sexualmente com a filha da mulher do seu pai, gerada por seu pai; ela é sua irmã.12 "Não se envolva sexualmente com a irmã do seu pai; ela é parenta próxima do seu pai.13 "Não se envolva sexualmente com a irmã da sua mãe; ela é parenta próxima da sua mãe.14 "Não desonre o irmão do seu pai aproximando-se da sua mulher para com ela se envolver sexualmente; ela é sua tia.15 "Não se envolva sexualmente com a sua nora. Ela é mulher do seu filho; não se envolva sexualmente com ela.16 "Não se envolva sexualmente com a mulher do seu irmão; isso desonraria seu irmão.17 "Não se envolva sexualmente com uma mulher e sua filha. Não se envolva sexualmente com a filha do seu filho ou com a filha da sua filha; são parentes próximos. É perversidade.18 "Não tome por mulher a irmã da sua mulher, tornando-a rival, envolvendo-se sexualmente com ela, estando a sua mulher ainda viva.19 "Não se aproxime de uma mulher para se envolver sexualmente com ela quando ela estiver na impureza da sua menstruação.20 "Não se deite com a mulher do seu próximo, contaminando-se com ela.21 "Não entregue os seus filhos para serem sacrificados a Moloque. Não profanem o nome do seu Deus. Eu sou o Senhor.22 "Não se deite com um homem como quem se deita com uma mulher; é repugnante.23 "Não tenha relações sexuais com um animal, contaminando-se com ele. Mulher nenhuma se porá diante de um animal para ajuntar-se com ele; é depravação.24 "Não se contaminem com nenhuma dessas coisas, porque assim se contaminaram as nações que vou expulsar da presença de vocês.25 Até a terra ficou contaminada; e eu castiguei a sua iniqüidade, e a terra vomitou os seus habitantes.26 Mas vocês obedecerão aos meus decretos e às minhas leis. Nem o natural da terra nem o estrangeiro residente entre vocês farão nenhuma dessas abominações,27 pois todas estas abominações foram praticadas pelos que habitaram essa terra antes de vocês; por isso a terra ficou contaminada.28 E, se vocês contaminarem a terra, ela os vomitará, como vomitou os povos que ali estavam antes de vocês.29 "Todo aquele que fizer alguma destas abominações, aqueles que assim procederem serão eliminados do meio do seu povo.30 Obedeçam aos meus preceitos, e não pratiquem os costumes repugnantes praticados antes de vocês, nem se contaminem com eles. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês".

1 And LORD spoke to Moses, saying,2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, I am LORD your God.3 Ye shall not do after the doings of the land of Egypt, in which ye dwelt, and ye shall not do after the doings of the land of Canaan, where I bring you, nor shall ye walk in their statutes.4 Ye shall do my ordinances, and ye shall keep my statutes, to walk therein. I am LORD your God.5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my ordinances, which if a man does, he shall live in them. I am LORD.6 None of you shall approach to any who are near of kin to him, to uncover nakedness. I am LORD.7 The nakedness of thy father, even the nakedness of thy mother, thou shall not uncover. She is thy mother. Thou shall not uncover her nakedness,8 the nakedness of thy father's wife. It is thy father's nakedness.9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or the daughter of thy mother, whether born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shall not uncover.10 The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shall not uncover, for theirs is thine own nakedness.11 The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shall not uncover her nakedness.12 Thou shall not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister. She is thy father's near kinswoman.13 Thou shall not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.14 Thou shall not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother. Thou shall not approach to his wife. She is thine aunt.15 Thou shall not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter-in-law. She is thy son's wife. Thou shall not uncover her nakedness.16 Thou shall not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife. It is thy brother's nakedness.17 Thou shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter. Thou shall not take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness. They are near kinswomen. It is iniquity.18 And thou shall not take a wife in addition to her sister, to be a rival [to her], to uncover her nakedness, besides the other in her life-time.19 And thou shall not approach to a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.20 And thou shall not lay carnally with thy neighbor's wife, to defile thyself with her.21 And thou shall not give any of thy seed to make them pass through [the fire] to Molech, neither shall thou profane the name of thy God. I am LORD.22 Thou shall not lay with mankind, as with womankind. It is abomination.23 And thou shall not lay with any beast to defile thyself with it, nor shall any woman stand before a beast, to lay down with it. It is a perversion.24 Do not defile ye yourselves in any of these things. For in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out from before you,25 and the land is defiled. Therefore I visit the iniquity of it upon it, and the land vomits out her inhabitants.26 Ye therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations, neither the home-born, nor the stranger that sojourns among you,27 (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and the land is defiled),28 that the land not vomit you out also, when ye defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.29 For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.30 Therefore ye shall keep my charge, that ye not practice any of these abominable customs, which were practiced before you, and that ye not defile yourselves in it. I am LORD your God.
