1 Disse ainda o Senhor a Moisés:2 "Diga o seguinte a toda comunidade de Israel: Sejam santos porque eu, o Senhor, o Deus de vocês, sou santo.3 "Respeite cada um de vocês a sua mãe e o seu pai, e guarde os meus sábados. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês.4 "Não se voltem para os ídolos, nem façam para si deuses de metal. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês.5 "Quando vocês oferecerem um sacrifício de comunhão ao Senhor, ofereçam-no de modo que seja aceito em favor de vocês.6 Terá que ser comido no dia em que o oferecerem, ou no dia seguinte; o que sobrar até ao terceiro dia será queimado.7 Se alguma coisa for comida no terceiro dia, estará estragada e não será aceita.8 Quem comer sofrerá as conseqüências da sua iniqüidade, porque profanou o que é santo ao Senhor; será eliminado do meio do seu povo.9 "Quando fizerem a colheita da sua terra, não colham até às extremidades da sua lavoura, nem ajuntem as espigas caídas de sua colheita.10 Não passem duas vezes pela sua vinha, nem apanhem as uvas que tiverem caído. Deixem-nas para o necessitado e para o estrangeiro. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês.11 "Não furtem. "Não mintam. "Não enganem uns aos outros.12 "Não jurem falsamente pelo meu nome, profanando assim o nome do seu Deus. Eu sou o Senhor.13 "Não oprimam nem roubem o seu próximo. "Não retenham até a manhã do dia seguinte o pagamento de um diarista.14 "Não amaldiçoem o surdo nem ponham pedra de tropeço à frente do cego, mas tema o seu Deus. Eu sou o Senhor.15 "Não cometam injustiça num julgamento; não favoreçam os pobres, nem procurem agradar os grandes, mas julguem o seu próximo com justiça.16 "Não espalhem calúnias entre o seu povo. "Não se levantem contra a vida do seu próximo. Eu sou o Senhor.17 "Não guardem ódio contra o seu irmão no coração; antes repreendam com franqueza o seu próximo para que, por causa dele, não sofram as conseqüências de um pecado.18 "Não procurem vingança, nem guardem rancor contra alguém do seu povo, mas ame cada um o seu próximo como a si mesmo. Eu sou o Senhor.19 "Obedeçam às minhas leis. "Não cruzem diferentes espécies de animais. "Não plantem duas espécies de sementes na sua lavoura. "Não usem roupas feitas com dois tipos de tecido.20 "Se um homem deitar-se com uma escrava prometida a outro homem, mas que não tenha sido resgatada nem recebido sua liberdade, aplique-se a devida punição. Contudo não serão mortos, porquanto ela não havia sido libertada.21 O homem, porém, trará ao Senhor, à entrada da Tenda do Encontro, um carneiro como oferta pela culpa.22 Com o carneiro da oferta pela culpa o sacerdote fará propiciação por ele perante o Senhor, pelo pecado que cometeu; assim o pecado que ele cometeu será perdoado.23 "Quando vocês entrarem na terra e plantarem qualquer tipo de árvore frutífera, considerem proibidas as suas frutas. Durante três anos vocês as considerarão proibidas; não poderão comê-las.24 No quarto ano todas as suas frutas serão santas; será uma oferta de louvor ao Senhor.25 No quinto ano, porém, vocês poderão comer as suas frutas. Assim a sua colheita aumentará. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês.26 "Não comam nada com sangue. "Não pratiquem adivinhação nem feitiçaria.27 "Não cortem o cabelo dos lados da cabeça, nem aparem as pontas da barba.28 "Não façam cortes em seus corpos por causa dos mortos, nem tatuagem em si mesmos. Eu sou o Senhor.29 "Ninguém desonre a sua filha tornando-a uma prostituta, se não a terra se entregará à prostituição e se encherá de perversidade.30 "Guardem os meus sábados e reverenciem o meu santuário. Eu sou o Senhor".31 "Não recorram aos médiuns, nem busquem os espíritas, pois vocês serão contaminados por eles. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês.32 "Levantem-se na presença dos idosos, honrem os anciãos, tema o seu Deus. Eu sou o Senhor.33 "Quando um estrangeiro viver na terra de vocês, não o maltratem.34 O estrangeiro residente que viver com vocês será tratado como o natural da terra. Amem-no como a si mesmos, pois vocês foram estrangeiros no Egito. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês.35 "Não usem medidas desonestas quando medirem comprimento, peso ou quantidade.36 Usem balanças de pesos honestos, tanto para cereais quanto para líquidos. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês, que os tirei da terra do Egito.37 "Obedeçam a todos os meus decretos e a todas as minhas leis e pratiquem-nos. Eu sou o Senhor".

1 And LORD spoke to Moses, saying,2 Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and say to them, Ye shall be holy, for I LORD your God am holy.3 Every man shall fear his mother, and his father. And ye shall keep my Sabbaths. I am LORD your God.4 Turn ye not to idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods. I am LORD your God.5 And when ye offer a sacrifice of peace-offerings to LORD, ye shall offer it that ye may be accepted.6 It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow. And if any remain until the third day, it shall be burnt with fire.7 And if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination. It shall not be accepted.8 But he who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy thing of LORD, and that soul shall be cut off from his people.9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shall not wholly reap the corners of thy field, nor shall thou gather the gleaning of thy harvest.10 And thou shall not glean thy vineyard, nor shall thou gather the fallen fruit of thy vineyard. Thou shall leave them for the poor man and for the sojourner. I am LORD your God.11 Ye shall not steal, nor shall ye deal falsely, nor lie one to another.12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of thy God. I am LORD.13 Thou shall not oppress thy neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.14 Thou shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but thou shall fear thy God. I am LORD.15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment. Thou shall not respect the person of the poor man, nor honor the person of the mighty man, but thou shall judge thy neighbor in righteousness.16 Thou shall not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people, neither shall thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor. I am LORD.17 Thou shall not hate thy brother in thy heart. Thou shall surely rebuke thy neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.18 Thou shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of thy people, but thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. I am LORD.19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shall not let thy cattle engender with a diverse kind. Thou shall not sow thy field with two kinds of seed, neither shall there come upon thee a garment of two kinds of stuff mingled together.20 And whoever lays carnally with a woman, who is a bondmaid, betrothed to a husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her, they shall be punished. They shall not be put to death, because she was not free.21 And he shall bring his trespass-offering to LORD, to the door of the tent of meeting, even a ram for a trespass-offering.22 And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering before LORD for his sin which he has sinned. And the sin which he has sinned shall be forgiven him.23 And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit of it as their uncircumcision. Three years they shall be as uncircumcised to you; it shall not be eaten.24 But in the fourth year all the fruit of it shall be holy, for giving praise to LORD.25 And in the fifth year ye shall eat of the fruit of it, that it may yield to you the increase of it. I am LORD your God.26 Ye shall not eat anything with the blood. Neither shall ye use enchantments, nor practice augury.27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, nor shall thou mar the corners of thy beard.28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you. I am LORD.29 Do not profane thy daughter, to make her a harlot, lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.30 Ye shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary. I am LORD.31 Do not turn to those who have familiar spirits, nor to the wizards. Do not seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am LORD your God.32 Thou shall rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and thou shall fear thy God. I am LORD.33 And if a stranger sojourns with thee in your land, ye shall not do him wrong.34 The stranger that sojourns with you shall be to you as the home-born among you, and thou shall love him as thyself, for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt. I am LORD your God.35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.36 Ye shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin. I am LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.37 And ye shall observe all my statutes, and all my ordinances, and do them. I am LORD.
