1 Oito dias depois Moisés convocou Arão e seus filhos e as autoridades de Israel.2 E disse a Arão: "Traga um bezerro para a oferta pelo pecado e um carneiro para o holocausto, ambos sem defeito, e apresente-os ao Senhor.3 Depois diga aos israelitas: Tragam um bode para oferta pelo pecado, um bezerro e um cordeiro, ambos de um ano de idade e sem defeito, para holocausto;4 e um boi e um carneiro para oferta de comunhão, para os sacrificar perante o Senhor, juntamente com a oferta de cereal amassada com óleo; pois hoje o Senhor aparecerá a vocês".5 Levaram então tudo o que Moisés determinou para a frente da Tenda do Encontro, e a comunidade inteira aproximou-se e ficou de pé perante o Senhor.6 Disse-lhes Moisés: "Foi isso que o Senhor ordenou que façam, para que a glória do Senhor apareça a vocês".7 Disse Moisés a Arão: "Venha até o altar e ofereça o seu sacrifício pelo pecado e o seu holocausto, e faça propiciação por você mesmo e pelo povo; ofereça o sacrifício pelo povo e faça propiciação por ele, conforme o Senhor ordenou".8 Arão foi até o altar e ofereceu o bezerro como sacrifício pelo pecado por si mesmo.9 Seus filhos levaram-lhe o sangue, e ele molhou o dedo no sangue e o pôs nas pontas do altar; então derramou o restante do sangue na base do altar,10 onde queimou a gordura, os rins e o lóbulo do fígado da oferta pelo pecado, conforme o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés;11 a carne e o couro, porém, queimou fora do acampamento.12 Depois sacrificou o holocausto. Seus filhos lhe entregaram o sangue, e ele o derramou nos lados do altar.13 Entregaram-lhe em seguida o holocausto pedaço por pedaço, inclusive a cabeça, e ele os queimou no altar.14 Lavou as vísceras e as pernas e as queimou em cima do holocausto sobre o altar.15 Depois Arão apresentou a oferta pelo povo. Pegou o bode para a oferta pelo pecado do povo e o ofereceu como sacrifício pelo pecado, como fizera com o primeiro.16 Apresentou o holocausto e ofereceu-o conforme fora prescrito.17 Também apresentou a oferta de cereal, pegou um punhado dela e a queimou no altar, além do holocausto da manhã.18 Matou o boi e o carneiro como sacrifício de comunhão pelo povo. Seus filhos levaram-lhe o sangue, e ele o derramou nos lados do altar.19 Mas as porções de gordura do boi e do carneiro, a cauda gorda, a gordura que cobre as vísceras, os rins e o lóbulo do fígado,20 puseram em cima do peito; e Arão as queimou no altar.21 Em seguida, Arão moveu o peito e a coxa direita do animal perante o Senhor como gesto ritual de apresentação, conforme Moisés tinha ordenado.22 Depois Arão ergueu as mãos em direção ao povo e o abençoou. E, tendo oferecido o sacrifício pelo pecado, o holocausto e o sacrifício de comunhão, desceu.23 Assim Moisés e Arão entraram na Tenda do Encontro. Quando saíram, abençoaram o povo; e a glória do Senhor apareceu a todo o povo.24 Saiu fogo da presença do Senhor e consumiu o holocausto e as porções de gordura sobre o altar. E, quando todo o povo viu isso, gritou de alegria e prostrou-se rosto em terra.

1 On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.2 He told Aaron: »Take a calf that has no defects for an offering for sin and a ram that has no defects as a burnt offering. Sacrifice them in Jehovah’s presence.3 »Tell the Israelites: ‘Take a male goat as an offering for sin, a calf and a lamb, each one-year-old and without defects, as a burnt offering,4 a bull and a ram as a fellowship offering, and a grain offering mixed with olive oil to sacrifice in Jehovah’s presence. Jehovah will appear to you today.’«5 They took the things Moses commanded and brought them in front of the Tent of Meeting. The entire congregation stood in Jehovah’s presence.6 Moses said: »Jehovah commanded you to offer these sacrifices so that you may see Jehovah’s glory.«7 Moses told Aaron: »Come to the altar and sacrifice an offering for sin and a burnt offering to pay compensation for your sins and the sins of the people and make peace with Jehovah. Then make an offering for the people that they may pay compensation for their wrongdoing and to make peace with Jehovah just as Jehovah has commanded.«8 Aaron came to the altar and slaughtered the calf as his own offering for sin.9 Aaron's sons brought him the blood. He dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar. After that he poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar.10 On the altar he burned the fat, kidneys, and lobe of the liver from the offering for sin as Jehovah commanded Moses.11 He burned the meat and the skin outside the camp.12 He slaughtered the animal for the burnt offering. Aaron's sons gave him the blood. He threw it against the altar on all sides.13 They also gave him the burnt offering. It was cut in pieces and included the head. He burned it on the altar.14 He washed the internal organs and the legs and laid them on top of the burnt offering on the altar.15 He brought the people's offerings. He took the male goat for the people's offering for sin and slaughtered it. Then he sacrificed it to take away sins as he had done before.16 He followed the proper procedures and brought forward the burnt offering and sacrificed it.17 He also brought the grain offering. He took a handful of grain and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning burnt offering.18 He slaughtered the bull and the ram for the people's fellowship offering. Aaron's sons gave him the blood. He threw it against the altar on all sides.19 The fat from the bull and the ram, the fat from the tail, the layer of fat, the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver20 they placed on the breasts. Aaron burned them all on the altar.21 First he took the breasts and the right thighs and presented them to Jehovah just as Moses commanded.22 Aaron raised his hands toward the people and blessed them. He sacrificed the offering for sin, the burnt offering, and the fellowship offering. Then he came down from the altar.23 Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting. As soon as they came out, they blessed the people. Then Jehovah’s glory appeared to all the people.24 Fire came out from Jehovah’s presence and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar. As soon as all the people saw this, they shouted and bowed with their faces touching the ground.
