1 Vejam, o dia do Senhor vem, quando no meio de vocês os seus bens serão divididos.2 Reunirei todos os povos para lutarem contra Jerusalém; a cidade será conquistada, as casas saqueadas e as mulheres violentadas. Metade da população será levada para o exílio, mas o restante do povo não será tirado da cidade.3 Depois o Senhor sairá à guerra contra aquelas nações, como ele faz em dia de batalha.4 Naquele dia os seus pés estarão sobre o monte das Oliveiras, a leste de Jerusalém, e o monte se dividirá ao meio, de leste a oeste, por um grande vale, metade do monte será removido para o norte, a outra metade para o sul.5 Vocês fugirão pelo meu vale entre os montes, pois ele se estenderá até Azel. Fugirão como fugiram do terremoto nos dias de Uzias, rei de Judá. Então o Senhor, o meu Deus, virá com todos os seus santos.6 Naquele dia não haverá calor nem frio.7 Será um dia único, no qual não haverá separação entre dia e noite, porque quando chegar a noite ainda estará claro. Um dia que o Senhor conhece.8 Naquele dia águas correntes fluirão de Jerusalém, metade delas para o mar do leste e metade para o mar do oeste. Isto acontecerá tanto no verão quanto no inverno.9 O Senhor será rei de toda a terra. Naquele dia haverá um só Senhor e o seu nome será o único nome.10 A terra toda, de Geba até Rimom, ao sul de Jerusalém, será semelhante à Arabá. Mas Jerusalém será restabelecida e permanecerá em seu lugar, desde a porta de Benjamim até o lugar da primeira porta, até a porta da Esquina, e desde a torre de Hananeel até aos lagares do rei.11 Será habitada; nunca mais será destruída. Jerusalém estará segura.12 Esta é a praga com a qual o Senhor castigará todas as nações que lutarem contra Jerusalém: Sua carne apodrecerá enquanto estiverem ainda em pé, seus olhos apodrecerão em suas órbitas e sua língua apodrecerá dentro de suas bocas.13 Naquele dia grande confusão dominará essas nações, causada pelo Senhor. Cada um atacará o que estiver ao seu lado.14 Também Judá lutará em Jerusalém. A riqueza de todas as nações vizinhas será recolhida, grandes quantidades de ouro, prata e roupas.15 A mesma praga cairá sobre cavalos e mulas, camelos e burros, sobre todos os animais daquelas nações.16 Então, os sobreviventes de todas as nações que atacaram Jerusalém subirão ano após ano para adorar o rei, o Senhor dos Exércitos, para celebrar a festa das Cabanas.17 Se algum dentre os povos da terra não subir a Jerusalém para adorar o Rei, o Senhor dos Exércitos, não virá para ele a chuva.18 Se os egípcios não subirem para participar, o Senhor mandará sobre eles a praga com a qual afligirá as nações que se recusarem a ir celebrar a festa das Cabanas.19 Sim, essa será a punição do Egito e de todas as nações que não forem celebrar a festa das Cabanas.20 Naquele dia estará inscrito nas sinetas penduradas nos cavalos: "Separado para o Senhor". Os caldeirões do templo do Senhor serão tão sagrados quanto as bacias diante do altar.21 Cada panela de Jerusalém e de Judá será separada para o Senhor dos Exércitos, e todos os que vierem sacrificar pegarão panelas e cozinharão nelas. E a partir daquele dia, nunca mais haverá comerciantes no templo do Senhor dos Exércitos.

1 »Behold! A Day of Jehovah comes, when the spoil taken from you will be divided among you.2 »I will gather all nations to battle against Jerusalem! The city will be defeated. The houses will be plundered and the women raped! Half of the city will be taken into captivity. The remainder of the people will not be removed from the city.3 »Then Jehovah will go forth and fight against those nations. It will be just as when he fought in the day of battle.4 »His feet will stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east. The Mount of Olives will be split in half toward the east and toward the west. There will be a very large valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.5 »You will flee by the valley of my mountains. For the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel. Yes you will flee the same as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Jehovah my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.6 »It will happen! There will be no light for the bright ones will withdraw themselves!7 »It will be a day known to Jehovah. It will not be day and it will not be night, but there will light in the evening.8 »It will happen! Living waters will go out from Jerusalem: half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea. It will be both in the summer and in the winter.9 »Jehovah will be King over all the earth. Jehovah will be the only one and his name will be the only one in that day.10 »All the land will be made like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be lifted up, and will dwell in her place, from Benjamin's gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananel to the king's winepresses.11 »People will live there and there will be no more curses. Jerusalem will dwell safely.12 »The plague will be that Jehovah will strike all the peoples that have gone to war against Jerusalem! Their flesh will wither away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes will wither away in their sockets, and their tongue will wither away in their mouth.13 »It will happen! A great tumult troubledisturbance from Jehovah will fall on them. Everyone of them will lay hold on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand will rise up against the hand of his neighbor neighbor will fight against neighbor.14 »Judah will also fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the nations round about will be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.15 »This will be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the donkey, and of all the beasts that will be in those camps, as that plague.16 »Every one that is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Jehovah of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.17 »There will be no rain on those who do not go to Jerusalem to worship the King, Jehovah of Hosts.18 »If the family of Egypt does not go it will not be upon them. There will be the plague and Jehovah will strike the nations that do not go to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.19 »This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that do not keep the Feast of Tabernacles.20 »In that day it will be on the bells of the horses, HOLY UNTO JEHOVAH. And the pots in Jehovah's house will be like the bowls before the altar.21 »Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to Jehovah of Hosts! Every thing they sacrifice will be boiled in them. In that day there will be no more Canaanites in the House of Jehovah of Hosts.«
