32 Era esta a passagem das Escrituras que ele estava lendo:

"Ele foi levado como ovelha para o matadouro;

como cordeiro mudo diante dos tosquiadores,

não abriu a boca.

33 Foi humilhado e a justiça lhe foi negada.

Quem pode falar de seus descendentes?

Pois sua vida foi tirada da terra".

34 O eunuco perguntou a Filipe: "Diga-me, o profeta estava falando de si mesmo ou de outro?". 35 Então Filipe, começando com essa mesma passagem das Escrituras, anunciou-lhe as boas-novas a respeito de Jesus.

33 In his humiliation, justice was denied him.Who can describe his generation?For his life is taken away from the earth."

34 The eunuch said to Philip, "I ask you, about whom is the prophet speaking—about himself or about someone else?"

35 Then Philip opened his mouth and, starting from this Scripture, told him the good news about Jesus.
