1 Nesse tempo, haverá tão poucos homens deixados com vida que sete mulheres lançarão mão dum deles e dirão: "Deixa-nos casar contigo! Nós próprias nos encarregaremos do nosso alimento e do nosso vestuário; queremos apenas ser chamadas pelo teu nome, para que não nos desprezem por sermos solteiras."

2 Naquele dia, o Renovo do Senhor será belo e glorioso e a terra produzirá os mais ricos frutos, um orgulho e honra para os de Israel que forem salvos. 3 E aqueles que restarem em Sião e permanecerem em Jerusalém tornar-se-ão o povo santo de Deus; isto é, todo o que estiver inscrito para viver em Jerusalém. 4 Quando o Senhor tiver lavado a impureza das filhas de Sião e limpado Jerusalém da culpa do sangue no meio dela derramado, mediante o Espírito de justiça e do Espírito purificador, 5 então, o Senhor criará uma nuvem de fumo sobre todo o monte Sião e sobre todos ali reunidos, que terá a forma de coluna durante o dia e dum resplendor de fogo durante a noite; a glória cobrirá essa terra, 6 protegendo-a dos calores e abrigando-a das chuvas e tempestades.
