1 The word of Yahweh which came unto Micah the Morashtite, in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, kings of Judah,of which he had vision concerning Samaria, and Jerusalem:2 Hear ye peoples, all of you, Hearken, O earth and the fulness thereof,and let My Lord Yahweh be among you for a witness, My Lord out of his holy temple.3 For lo! Yahweh, coming forth out of his place,that he may descend, and march along upon the high places of the earth.4 Then shall the mountains be melted beneath him, and, the valleys, be cleft,as wax before the fire, as waters poured out in a steep place.5 For the transgression of Jacob, is all this, and for the sin of the house of Israel,Whose is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samarias? And whose is the sin of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?6 Therefore will I make of Samaria a heap in a field, the plantings in a vineyard,and I will pour down, into the valley, her stones, and, her foundations, will I lay bare;7 And, all her images, shall be beaten in pieces, and, all her rewards for unchastity, shall be burned in the fire, and, all her idols, will I make a desolation,for, out of the reward of unchastity, she gathered8 For this cause, will I lament and howl, I will go stript and bare,I will make a lamentation, like the wild dogs, and a mourning, like ostriches.9 For dangerous are her wounds,for she hath come as far as Judah, she hath reached as far as the gate of my people, as far as Jerusalem.10 In Gath, do not tell, in Accho, do not weep,in Beth-laphrah, roll yourselves in dust.11 Pass thou over (for you), thou inhabitress of Shaphir, of disgraceful disclosure,the inhabitress of Zaanan, hath not gone forth, at the lamentation of Beth-ezel, shall he take from you his station,12 Though the inhabitress of Maroth waited for blessing,yet there came down calamity from Yahweh, to the gate of Jerusalem.13 Bind the chariot to the steed, O inhabitress of Lachish,the beginning of sin, was she to the daughter of Zion, for, in thee, have been found the transgressions of Israel.14 Therefore, shalt thou give a dismission, against Moresheth-gath,The houses of Achzib, served for a deception to the kings of Israel.15 The time shall yet be when, the heir, I will bring unto thee, O inhabitress of Mareshah,as far as Adullam, shall enter the glory of Israel.16 Make thee bald, and cut off thy hair, for the children of thy pleasures,enlarge thy baldness, like a vulture, for they are exiled from thee.

1 Palavra do Senhor que veio a Miqueias, morastita, nos dias de Jotão, Acaz e Ezequias, reis de Judá, a qual ele viu sobre Samaria e Jerusalém.

2 Ouvi, todos os povos, presta atenção, ó terra, em tua plenitude, e seja o Senhor Jeová testemunha contra vós, o Senhor, desde o templo da sua santidade. 3 Porque eis que o Senhor sai do seu lugar, e descerá, e andará sobre as alturas da terra. 4 E os montes debaixo dele se derreterão, e os vales se fenderão, como a cera diante do fogo, como as águas que se precipitam em um abismo. 5 Tudo isso por causa da prevaricação de Jacó e dos pecados da casa de Israel; qual é a transgressão de Jacó? Não é Samaria? E quais os altos de Judá? Não é Jerusalém? 6 Por isso, farei de Samaria um montão de pedras do campo, uma terra de plantar vinhas, e farei rebolar as suas pedras no vale, e descobrirei os seus fundamentos. 7 E todas as suas imagens de escultura serão despedaçadas, e todos os seus salários serão queimados pelo fogo, e de todos os seus ídolos eu farei uma assolação, porque do preço de sua prostituição os ajuntou, e em recompensa de prostituta se volverão.

8 Por isso, lamentarei, e uivarei, e andarei despojado e nu; farei lamentação como de dragões e pranto como de avestruzes. 9 Porque a sua chaga é incurável, porque chegou até Judá; estendeu-se até à porta do meu povo, até Jerusalém. 10 Não o anuncieis em Gate, nem choreis muito; revolve-te no pó, em Bete-Leafra. 11 Passa, ó moradora de Safir, com nudez vergonhosa; a moradora de Zaanã não saiu; o pranto de Bete-Ezel receberá de vós a sua morada. 12 Porque a moradora de Marote teve dor pelo bem; porque desceu do Senhor o mal até à porta de Jerusalém. 13 Ata os animais ligeiros ao carro, ó moradora de Laquis (esta foi o princípio do pecado para a filha de Sião), porque em ti se acharam as transgressões de Israel. 14 Por isso, darás presentes a Moresete-Gate; as casas de Aczibe serão uma mentira para os reis de Israel. 15 Ainda te trarei um herdeiro, ó moradora de Maressa; chegará até Adulão a glória de Israel. 16 Faze-te calva e tosquia-te, por causa dos filhos das tuas delícias; alarga a tua calva como a águia, porque de ti foram levados para o cativeiro.
