1 A Song of Ascents.2 When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.3 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."4 The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad.5 Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like the watercourses in the Negeb!6 May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy! [ (Psalms 126:7) He that goes forth weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him. ]

1 Quando o Senhor trouxe do cativeiro os que voltaram a Sião, estávamos como os que sonham.2 Então a nossa boca se encheu de riso e a nossa língua de cântico; então se dizia entre os gentios: Grandes coisas fez o Senhor a estes.3 Grandes coisas fez o Senhor por nós, pelas quais estamos alegres.4 Traze-nos outra vez, ó Senhor, do cativeiro, como as correntes das águas no sul.5 Os que semeiam em lágrimas segarão com alegria.6 Aquele que leva a preciosa semente, andando e chorando, voltará, sem dúvida, com alegria, trazendo consigo os seus molhos.
