Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one does come unto the Father, if not through me;
in the house of my Father are many mansions; and if not, I would have told you; I go on to prepare a place for you;
be you therefore merciful, as also your Father is merciful.
7 if chastening you endure, as to sons God bears Himself to you, for who is a son whom a father does not chasten?
8 and if you are apart from chastening, of which all have become partakers, then bastards are you, and not sons.
9 Then, indeed, fathers of our flesh we have had, chastising us, and we were reverencing them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of the spirits, and live?
10 for they, indeed, for a few days, according to what seemed good to them, were chastening, but He for profit, to be partakers of His separation;
for the earnest looking out of the creation does expect the revelation of the sons of God;
See you what love the Father has given to us, that children of God we may be called; because of this the world does not know us, because it did not know Him;
and whatever you may ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son;
but as many as did receive him to them he gave authority to become sons of God -- to those believing in his name,
I did write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning; I did write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God in you does remain, and you have overcome the evil.
and to God, even our Father, is the glory -- to the ages of the ages. Amen.
'And you -- you may not be called Rabbi, for one is your director -- the Christ, and all you are brethren;
and you may not callany your father on the earth, for one is your Father, who is in the heavens,
do you think that I am not able now to call upon my Father, and He will place beside me more than twelve legions of messengers?
He who indeed His own Son did not spare, but for us all did deliver him up, how shall He not also with him the all things grant to us?
God no one has ever seen; the only begotten Son, who is on the bosom of the Father -- he did declare.
every good giving, and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with whom is no variation, or shadow of turning;
'But you, when you may pray, go into your chamber, and having shut your door, pray to your Father whois in secret, and your Father who is seeing in secret, shall reward you openly.
11 'And of which of you -- the father -- if the son shall ask a loaf, a stone will he present to him? and if a fish, will he instead of a fish, a serpent present to him?
12 and if he may ask an egg, will he present to him a scorpion?
13 If, then, you, being evil, have known good gifts to be giving to your children, how much more shall the Father who is from heaven give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him!'
And the fathers! provoke not your children, but nourish them in the instruction and admonition of the Lord.
'Fear not, little flock, because your Father did delight to give you the reign;
he who is having my commands, and is keeping them, that one it is who is loving me, and he who is loving me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.'
for you did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but you did receive a spirit of adoption in which we cry, 'Abba -- Father.'
The Spirit himself does testify with our spirit, that we are children of God;
Love not you the world, nor the things in the world; if any one does love the world, the love of the Father is not in him,
29 'Are not two sparrows sold for an assar? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father;
30 and of you -- even the hairs of the head are all numbered;
31 be not therefore afraid, than many sparrows you are better.
1 The children! obey your parents in the Lord, for this is righteous;
2 honour your father and mother,
3 which is the first command with a promise, 'That it may be well with you, and you may live a long time upon the land.'
4 And the fathers! provoke not your children, but nourish them in the instruction and admonition of the Lord.
28 and life age-during I give to them, and they shall not perish -- to the age, and no one shall pluck them out of my hand;
29 my Father, who has given to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck out of the hand of my Father;
30 I and the Father are one.'
'Father, those whom You have given to me, I will that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory that You did give to me, because You did love me before the foundation of the world.
the children! obey the parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord;
the fathers! vex not your children, lest they be discouraged.
You shall therefore be perfect, as your Father whois in the heavens is perfect.
I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning; I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil. I write to you, little youths, because you have known the Father:
'All things were delivered to me by my Father, and none does know the Son, except the Father, nor does any know the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son may wish to revealHim.
Look to the fowls of the heaven, for they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into storehouses, and your heavenly Father does nourish them; are not you much better than they?
'But you, fasting, anoint your head, and wash your face,
that you may not appear to men fasting, but to your Father whois in secret, and your Father, who is seeing in secret, shall reward you openly.
Jesus answered and said to him, 'If any one may love me, my word he will keep, and my Father will love him, and unto him we will come, and abode with him we will make;
