and if any one for his own -- and especially for those of the household -- does not provide, the faith he has denied, and than an unbeliever he is worse.
honour your father and mother, and, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
and you the Lord cause to increase and to abound in the love to one another, and to all, even as we also to you,
but you also, every one in particular -- let each his own wife so love as himself, and the wife -- that she may reverence the husband.
and because of the whoredom let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her proper husband;
for now men do I persuade, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if yet men I did please -- Christ's servant I should not be.
so ought the husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies: he who is loving his own wife -- himself he does love;
'All things, therefore, whatever you may will that men may be doing to you, so also do to them, for this is the law and the prophets.
Become not yoked with others -- unbelievers, for what partaking is there to righteousness and lawlessness?
The husbands! love your own wives, as also the Christ did love the assembly, and did give himself for it,
that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it with the bathing of the water in the saying,
The wives! to your own husbands subject yourselves, as to the Lord,
because the husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ is head of the assembly, and he is saviour of the body,
The wives! be subject to your own husbands, as is fit in the Lord;
the husbands! love your wives, and be not bitter with them;
5 And this same also -- all diligence having brought in besides, superadd in your faith the worthiness, and in the worthiness the knowledge,
6 and in the knowledge the temperance, and in the temperance the endurance, and in the endurance the piety,
7 and in the piety the brotherly kindness, and in the brotherly kindness the love;
