3 *1 Kor 10:32. Vi vill inte på något sätt väcka anstöt, för att vår tjänst inte ska smutskastas. 4 *1 Kor 4:9f, 2 Kor 11:23f. Nej, i allt vill vi visa att vi är Guds tjänare: i stor uthållighet, i lidande, nöd och ångest, 5 i misshandel, fångenskap och upplopp, i arbete, nattvak och svält, 6 *Gal 5:22, 1 Tim 4:12. i renhet och insikt, i tålamod och godhet, i den helige Ande, i uppriktig kärlek, 7 *1 Kor 2:4, 2 Kor 4:2, 10:4, Ef 6:11f. med sanningens ord och Guds kraft, med rättfärdighetens vapen i höger och vänster hand*6:7rättfärdighetens vapen i höger och vänster handSvärd och sköld till anfall och försvar (jfr Ef 6:16-17)., 8 i ära och vanära, i vanrykte och gott rykte. Vi kallas villolärare men är sanningssägare, 9 *Ps 118:18, 2 Kor 4:10f. vi är okända men ändå erkända, vi är döende men lever, vi är tuktade men inte dödade, 10 *Rom 5:3, 2 Kor 7:4. vi är bedrövade men alltid glada, vi är fattiga men gör många rika, vi har inget men äger allt.

11 Vi talar öppet till er, korintier. Våra hjärtan är vidöppna. 12 *2 Kor 7:2f. Ni har det inte trångt hos oss, men i era hjärtan är det trångt. 13 *1 Kor 4:14. Gör som vi – nu talar jag som till barn – och öppna också ni era hjärtan.

Vilken samstämmighet har Kristus med Beliar*6:15BeliarVariant av Belial, "den värdelöse", ett judiskt namn på Satan.? Eller vad kan den som tror dela med den som inte tror? 16 *1 Kor 3:16. Vad kan Guds tempel ha för gemenskap med avgudarna? Vi är den levande Gudens tempel, för Gud har sagt: Jag ska bo hos dem och vandra bland dem och vara deras Gud, och de ska vara mitt folk.*6:16 3 Mos 26:12.

17 *3 Mos 5:2, Upp 18:4. Därför säger Herren: Gå ut från dem och skilj er från dem, och rör inte vid något orent. Då ska jag ta emot er,*6:17 Jes 52:11, Hes 20:34 (Septuaginta).18 och jag ska vara er Far och ni ska vara mina söner och döttrar, säger Herren den Allsmäktige*6:18 2 Sam 7:8, 14, Jer 31:9..
