1 *Matt 21:23f, Mark 11:27f. En dag när Jesus undervisade folket i templet och förkunnade evangeliet, kom översteprästerna och de skriftlärda fram tillsammans med de äldste 2 *Apg 4:7. och frågade honom: "Säg oss: Vad har du för fullmakt att göra detta? Vem är det som har gett dig den fullmakten?" 3 Han svarade dem: "Jag vill också fråga er en sak. Säg mig: 4 Johannes dop, var det från himlen eller från människor?"

5 De samrådde med varandra och sade: "Om vi säger: Från himlen, så säger han: Varför trodde ni då inte på honom? 6 Men om vi säger: Från människor, så kommer allt folket att stena oss. De är ju övertygade om att Johannes var en profet." 7 Därför svarade de att de inte visste varifrån det var. 8 Jesus sade till dem: "Då säger inte heller jag till er vad jag har för fullmakt att göra det här."

9 *Mark 12:1f. Sedan började han berätta denna liknelse för folket: "En man planterade en vingård. Han arrenderade ut den till vinodlare och reste bort för en längre tid.

10 *2 Krön 36:15f. När tiden var inne sände han en tjänare till vinodlarna för att de skulle ge honom hans del av vingårdens frukt. Men vinodlarna slog honom och skickade i väg honom tomhänt. 11 Då sände han en annan tjänare. Också honom slog de och förnedrade och skickade i väg tomhänt. 12 Sedan sände han en tredje tjänare. Men även honom slog de blodig och kastade ut.

13 Då sade vingårdens herre: Vad ska jag göra? Jag ska sända min älskade son. Honom ska de väl ha respekt för. 14 Men när vinodlarna fick se honom, samrådde de med varandra och sade: Här är arvtagaren! Vi dödar honom, så blir arvet vårt. 15 Och de kastade ut honom ur vingården och dödade honom.

Vad ska nu vingårdens herre göra med dem? 16 Han ska komma och döda dessa vinodlare och ge vingården till andra." När de hörde detta, sade de: "Det får inte hända!" 17 *Jes 28:16, Apg 4:11, Rom 9:33. Men han såg på dem och frågade: "Vad menas då med det här stället i Skriften: Stenen som husbyggarna förkastade har blivit en hörnsten?*20:17 Ps 118:22.18 *Jes 8:14f, Dan 2:34. Den som faller på den stenen blir sönderslagen, och den som stenen faller på blir krossad."

19 *Matt 21:46, Luk 19:47f. De skriftlärda och översteprästerna ville då gripa honom på en gång, men de vågade inte för folket. De förstod att det var dem som han hade talat om i liknelsen.

20 *Matt 22:15f, Mark 12:13f, Luk 11:53f. De höll Jesus under uppsikt och skickade ut några spioner som skulle låtsas vara ärliga för att få fast honom för något som han sade, så att de kunde utlämna honom åt ståthållarens makt och myndighet. 21 De frågade honom: "Mästare, vi vet att du talar och undervisar rätt och inte tar parti för någon utan lär ut sanningen om Guds väg. 22 Är det tillåtet för oss att betala skatt till kejsaren*20:22att betala skatt till kejsarenEn tvistefråga, eftersom skatten innebar att erkänna Roms överhöghet. Detta såg de nationalistiska seloterna som ett svek mot Israels Gud, medan fariseerna och saddukeerna accepterade situationen. eller inte?"

23 Men han genomskådade deras list och sade till dem: 24 "Visa mig en denar*20:24denarEtt litet romerskt silvermynt, värt en hel dagslön för den enkle arbetaren (Matt 20:2).. Vems bild och inskrift har den?" De svarade: "Kejsarens." 25 *Rom 13:7. Han sade till dem: "Ge då kejsaren det som tillhör kejsaren, och Gud det som tillhör Gud." 26 De lyckades inte få fast honom för något som han sade inför folket utan teg, förundrade över hans svar.

27 *Matt 22:23f, Mark 12:18f. Sedan kom det fram några saddukeer*20:27saddukeerAristokratiska präster som samarbetade med romarna och vakade över ordningen i templet (Apg 4:1f)., de som förnekar att det finns en uppståndelse. De frågade Jesus: 28 *5 Mos 25:5, Matt 22:24. "Mästare! Mose gav oss föreskriften*20:28Mose gav oss föreskriftenSe 5 Mos 25:5-6. att om någon har en bror som är gift men dör barnlös, så ska han gifta sig med änkan och skaffa barn åt sin bror. 29 Nu fanns där sju bröder. Den förste tog sig en hustru men dog barnlös. 30 Den andre 31 och den tredje gifte sig med henne, och så gjorde alla sju, men de dog och efterlämnade inga barn. 32 Till slut dog också kvinnan. 33 Så vems hustru blir hon vid uppståndelsen? Alla sju var ju gifta med henne."

34 Jesus svarade dem: "De som lever i den här världen gifter sig och blir bortgifta. 35 Men de som anses värdiga att nå den andra världen och uppståndelsen från de döda, de varken gifter sig eller blir bortgifta. 36 De kan inte dö längre, för de är som änglarna och är Guds barn, eftersom de är uppståndelsens barn.

37 Men att de döda uppstår, det har också Mose visat vid stället om törnbusken, när han kallar Herren Abrahams Gud och Isaks Gud och Jakobs Gud.*20:37 2 Mos 3:6.38 *Rom 14:8. Han är inte de dödas Gud utan de levandes. För honom är alla levande."

39 Då sade några av de skriftlärda: "Mästare, bra sagt*20:39bra sagtDe skriftlärda fariseerna var motståndare till saddukeerna (jfr Apg 23:6f).!" 40 Sedan vågade de inte ställa någon mer fråga till honom.

41 Jesus sade till dem: "Hur kan man säga att Messias är Davids son? 42 *Apg 2:34f, Hebr 1:13, 10:12f. David säger ju själv i Psaltaren:*20:42f Ps 110:1. I psalmen talar Gud Fadern till Messias, Guds Son (jfr Apg 2:34f, 1 Kor 15:25).Herren sade till min Herre: Sätt dig på min högra sida 43 *1 Kor 15:25.tills jag lagt dina fiender som en pall under dina fötter.*20:43som en pall under dina fötterEtt uttryck för triumf (jfr Jos 10:24).44 David kallar honom alltså Herre*20:44David kallar honom alltså HerreProfeten David erkänner den kommande Frälsaren som sin Herre (jfr 1 Petr 1:10f) trots att denne är hans ättling (Rom 1:3).. Hur kan han då vara hans son?"

45 Medan allt folket hörde på sade Jesus till sina lärjungar: 46 *Matt 23:5f, Mark 12:38f, Luk 11:43. "Akta er för de skriftlärda, som njuter av att gå runt i långa mantlar och älskar att bli hälsade på torgen och få de främsta platserna i synagogorna och hedersplatserna vid festmåltiderna. 47 De äter änkorna ur husen och ber långa böner för syns skull. De ska få en så mycket strängare dom."

1 And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders, 2 And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority? 3 And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me: 4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? 5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not? 6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet. 7 And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was. 8 And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. 9 Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time. 10 And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty. 11 And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty. 12 And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out. 13 Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him. 14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours. 15 So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them? 16 He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid. 17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? 18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

19 And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them. 20 And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor. 21 And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly: 22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Cæsar, or no? 23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me? 24 Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Cæsar’s. 25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which be Cæsar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s. 26 And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.

27 Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him, 28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man’s brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children. 30 And the second took her to wife, and he died childless. 31 And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died. 32 Last of all the woman died also. 33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife. 34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: 35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. 37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. 38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

39 Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said. 40 And after that they durst not ask him any question at all. 41 And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David’s son? 42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 43 Till I make thine enemies thy footstool. 44 David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?

45 Then in the audience of all the people he said unto his disciples, 46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts; 47 Which devour widows’ houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.
