Dessa voro Israels barns lägerplatser, när de drogo ut ur Egyptens land, efter sina härskaror, anförda av Mose och Aron. 
Och Mose upptecknade på HERRENS befallning deras uppbrottsorter, alltefter som de ändrade lägerplats. Och dessa voro nu deras lägerplatser, alltefter som uppbrottsorterna följde på varandra: 
De bröto upp från Rameses i första månaden, på femtonde dagen i första månaden. Dagen efter påskhögtiden drogo Israels barn ut med upplyft hand inför alla egyptiers ögon, 
under det att egyptierna begrovo dem som HERREN hade slagit bland dem, alla de förstfödda, då när HERREN höll dom över deras gudar. 
Så bröto nu Israels barn upp från Rameses och lägrade sig i Suckot. 
Och de bröto upp från Suckot och lägrade sig i Etam, där öknen begynte. 
Och de bröto upp från Etam och vände om till Pi-Hahirot, som ligger mitt emot Baal-Sefon, och lägrade sig framför Migdol. 
Och de bröto upp från Hahirot och gingo mitt igenom havet in i öknen och tågade så tre dagsresor i Etams öken och lägrade sig i Mara. 
Och de bröto upp från Mara och kommo till Elim; och i Elim funnos tolv vattenkällor och sjuttio palmträd, och de lägrade sig där. 
Och de bröto upp från Elim och lägrade sig vid Röda havet. 
Och de bröto upp från Röda havet och lägrade sig i öknen Sin. 
Och de bröto upp från öknen Sin och lägrade sig i Dofka. 
Och de bröto upp från Dofka och lägrade sig i Alus. 
Och de bröto upp från Alus och lägrade sig i Refidim, och där fanns intet vatten åt folket att dricka. 
Och de bröto upp från Refidim och lägrade sig i Sinais öken. 
Och de bröto upp från Sinais öken och lägrade sig i Kibrot-Hattaava. 
Och de bröto upp från Kibrot-Hattaava och lägrade sig i Haserot. 
Och de bröto upp från Haserot och lägrade sig i Ritma. 
Och de bröto upp från Ritma och lägrade sig i Rimmon-Peres. 
Och de bröto upp från Rimmon-Peres och lägrade sig i Libna. 
Och de bröto upp från Libna och lägrade sig i Rissa. 
Och de bröto upp från Rissa och lägrade sig i Kehelata. 
Och de bröto upp från Kehelata och lägrade sig vid berget Sefer. 
Och de bröto upp från berget Sefer och lägrade sig i Harada. 
Och de bröto upp från Harada och lägrade sig i Makhelot. 
Och de bröto upp från Makhelot och lägrade sig i Tahat. 
Och de bröto upp från Tahat och lägrade sig i Tera. 
Och de bröto upp från Tera och lägrade sig i Mitka. 
Och de bröto upp från Mitka och lägrade sig i Hasmona. 
Och de bröto upp från Hasmona och lägrade sig i Moserot. 
Och de bröto upp från Moserot och lägrade sig i Bene-Jaakan. 
Och de bröto upp från Bene-Jaakan och lägrade sig i Hor-Haggidgad. 
Och de bröto upp från Hor-Haggidgad och lägrade sig i Jotbata. 
Och de bröto upp från Jotbata och lägrade sig i Abrona. 
och de bröto upp från Abrona och lägrade sig i Esjon-Geber. 
Och de bröto upp från Esjon-Geber och lägrade sig i öknen Sin, det är Kades. 
Och de bröto upp från Kades och lägrade sig vid berget Hor, på gränsen till Edoms land. 
Och prästen Aron steg upp på berget Hor, efter HERRENS befallning, och dog där i det fyrtionde året efter Israels barns uttåg ur Egyptens land, i femte månaden, på första dagen i månaden. 
Och Aron var ett hundra tjugutre år gammal, när han dog på berget Hor. 
Och konungen i Arad, kananéen, som bodde i Sydlandet i Kanaans land, fick nu höra att Israels barn voro i antågande. 
Och de bröto upp från berget Hor och lägrade sig i Salmona. 
Och de bröto upp från Salmona och lägrade sig i Punon. 
Och de bröto upp från Punon och lägrade sig i Obot. 
Och de bröto upp från Obot och lägrade sig i Ije-Haabarim vid Moabs gräns. 
Och de bröto upp från Ijim och lägrade sig i Dibon-Gad. 
Och de bröto upp från Dibon-Gad och lägrade sig i Almon-Diblataima. 
Och de bröto upp från Almon-Diblataima och lägrade sig vid Abarimbergen, framför Nebo. 
Och de bröto upp från Abarimbergen och lägrade sig på Moabs hedar, vid Jordan mitt emot Jeriko. 
Och deras läger vid Jordan sträckte sig från Bet-Hajesimot ända till Abel-Hassitim på Moabs hedar. 
Och HERREN talade till Mose på Moabs hedar, vid Jordan mitt emot Jeriko, och sade: 
Tala till Israels barn och säg till dem: När I haven gått över Jordan, in i Kanaans land, 
skolen I fördriva landets alla inbyggare för eder, och I skolen förstöra alla deras stenar med inhuggna bilder, och alla deras gjutna beläten skolen I förstöra, och alla deras offerhöjder skolen I ödelägga. 
Och I skolen intaga landet och bosätta eder där, ty åt eder har jag givit landet till besittning. 
Och I skolen utskifta landet såsom arvedel åt eder genom lottkastning efter edra släkter; åt en större stam skolen I giva en större arvedel, och åt en mindre stam en mindre arvedel; var och en skall få sin del där lotten bestämmer att han skall hava den; efter edra fädernestammar skolen I utskifta landet såsom arvedel åt eder. 
Men om I icke fördriven landets inbyggare för eder, så skola de som I låten vara kvar av dem bliva törnen i edra ögon och taggar i edra sidor, och skola tränga eder i landet där I bon. 
Och då skall jag göra med eder så, som jag hade tänkt göra med dem. 

These [are] journeys of the sons of Israel who have come out of the land of Egypt, by their hosts, by the hand of Moses and Aaron; 
and Moses writeth their outgoings, by their journeys, by the command of Jehovah; and these [are] their journeys, by their outgoings: 
And they journey from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the morrow of the passover have the sons of Israel gone out with a high hand, before the eyes of all the Egyptians -- 
and the Egyptians are burying those whom Jehovah hath smitten among them, every first-born, and on their gods hath Jehovah done judgments -- 
and the sons of Israel journey from Rameses, and encamp in Succoth. 
And they journey from Succoth, and encamp in Etham, which [is] in the extremity of the wilderness; 
and they journey from Etham, and turn back on Pi-Hahiroth, which [is] on the front of Baal-Zephon, and they encamp before Migdol. 
And they journey from Pi-Hahiroth, and pass over through the midst of the sea, into the wilderness, and go a journey of three days in the wilderness of Etham, and encamp in Marah. 
And they journey from Marah, and come in to Elim, and in Elim [are] twelve fountains of waters, and seventy palm trees, and they encamp there; 
and they journey from Elim, and encamp by the Red Sea. 
And they journey from the Red Sea, and encamp in the wilderness of Sin; 
and they journey from the wilderness of Sin, and encamp in Dophkah. 
And they journey from Dophkah, and encamp in Alush; 
and they journey from Alush, and encamp in Rephidim; and there was there no water for the people to drink. 
And they journey from Rephidim, and encamp in the wilderness of Sinai; 
and they journey from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamp in Kibroth-Hattaavah. 
And they journey from Kibroth-Hattaavah, and encamp in Hazeroth; 
and they journey from Hazeroth, and encamp in Rithmah. 
And they journey from Rithmah, and encamp in Rimmon-Parez; 
and they journey from Rimmon-Parez, and encamp in Libnah. 
And they journey from Libnah, and encamp in Rissah; 
and they journey from Rissah, and encamp in Kehelathah. 
And they journey from Kehelathah, and encamp in mount Shapher; 
and they journey from mount Shapher, and encamp in Haradah. 
And they journey from Haradah, and encamp in Makheloth; 
and they journey from Makheloth, and encamp in Tahath. 
And they journey from Tahath, and encamp in Tarah; 
and they journey from Tarah, and encamp in Mithcah. 
And they journey from Mithcah, and encamp in Hashmonah; 
and they journey from Hashmonah, and encamp in Moseroth. 
And they journey from Moseroth, and encamp in Bene-Jaakan; 
and they journey from Bene-Jaakan, and encamp at Hor-Hagidgad. 
And they journey from Hor-Hagidgad, and encamp in Jotbathah; 
and they journey from Jotbathah, and encamp in Ebronah. 
And they journey from Ebronah, and encamp in Ezion-Gaber; 
and they journey from Ezion-Gaber, and encamp in the wilderness of Zin, which [is] Kadesh. 
And they journey from Kadesh, and encamp in mount Hor, in the extremity of the land of Edom. 
And Aaron the priest goeth up unto mount Hor, by the command of Jehovah, and dieth there, in the fortieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month; 
and Aaron [is] a son of a hundred and twenty and three years in his dying in mount Hor. 
And the Canaanite -- king Arad -- who is dwelling in the south, in the land of Canaan, heareth of the coming of the sons of Israel. 
And they journey from mount Hor, and encamp in Zalmonah; 
and they journey from Zalmonah, and encamp in Punon. 
And they journey from Punon, and encamp in Oboth; 
and they journey from Oboth, and encamp in Ije-Abarim, in the border of Moab. 
And they journey from Iim, and encamp in Dibon-Gad; 
and they journey from Dibon-Gad, and encamp in Almon-Diblathaim. 
And they journey from Almon-Diblathaim, and encamp in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo; 
and they journey from the mountains of Abarim, and encamp in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, [near] Jericho. 
And they encamp by the Jordan from Beth-Jeshimoth, unto Abel-Shittim, in the plains of Moab. 
And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, in the plains of Moab, by Jordan, [near] Jericho, saying, 
`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye are passing over the Jordan unto the land of Canaan, 
then ye have dispossessed all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and have destroyed all their imagery, yea, all their molten images ye destroy, and all their high places ye lay waste, 
and ye have possessed the land, and dwelt in it, for to you I have given the land -- to possess it. 
`And ye have inherited the land by lot, by your families; to the many ye increase their inheritance, and to the few ye diminish their inheritance; whither the lot goeth out to him, it is his; by the tribes of your fathers ye inherit. 
`And if ye do not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it hath been, those whom ye let remain of them, [are] for pricks in your eyes, and for thorns in your sides, and they have distressed you on the land in which ye are dwelling, 
and it hath come to pass, as I thought to do to them -- I do to you.`
