1 Jeová disse a Moisés:2 Esta será a lei do leproso no dia da sua purificação: será levado ao sacerdote.3 O sacerdote sairá para fora do arraial, e o examinará. Se a praga da lepra for curada no leproso;4 o sacerdote ordenará se tomem para aquele que se há de purificar duas aves vivas e limpas, e pau de cedro, e escarlata, e hissopo;5 e que se mate uma das aves num vaso de barro sobre águas vivas.6 Quanto à ave viva, tomá-la-á, e o pau de cedro, e a escarlata, e o hissopo, e os molhará juntamente com a ave viva no sangue da ave que for morta sobre as águas vivas.7 Aspergirá sete vezes sobre aquele que se há de purificar da lepra, e declará-lo-á limpo, e soltará a ave viva sobre a face do campo.8 Aquele que se há de purificar lavará os seus vestidos, rapará todo o seu pêlo, banhar-se-á e será limpo; depois entrará no arraial, mas ficará sete dias fora da sua tenda.9 Ao sétimo dia rapará todos os cabelos da cabeça, a barba e as sobrancelhas, sim rapará todo o pêlo, lavará os seus vestidos, banhará o corpo em água e será limpo.10 Ao oitavo dia tomará dois cordeiros sem defeito, e uma cordeira de um ano sem defeito, e três dízimas de uma efa de flor de farinha, amassada com azeite, como oferta de cereais, e um log de azeite.11 E o sacerdote que faz a purificação, apresentará, diante de Jeová, à entrada da tenda da revelação o homem que se há de purificar com essas coisas.12 Tomará um dos cordeiros, e o oferecerá como oferta pela culpa, e o log de azeite, e os oferecerá como oferta movida diante de Jeová.13 Matará o cordeiro no lugar em que é morta a oferta pelo pecado e o holocausto, a saber, no lugar do santuário; pois, como a oferta pelo pecado pertence ao sacerdote, assim também a oferta pela culpa: coisa santíssima é.14 O sacerdote tomará do sangue da oferta pela culpa, e pô-lo-á sobre a ponta da orelha direita daquele que se há de purificar, e sobre o dedo polegar da sua mão direita, e sobre o dedo polegar de seu pé direito.15 Tomará do log de azeite, e o deitará na palma da mão esquerda;16 molhará o dedo direito no azeite que está na mão esquerda, e com o dedo aspergirá do azeite sete vezes diante de Jeová.17 Do restante do azeite que está na mão porá sobre a ponta da orelha direita daquele que se há de purificar, e sobre o dedo polegar da sua mão direita, e sobre o dedo polegar do seu pé direito, por cima do sangue da oferta pela culpa.18 O restante do azeite que está na mão do sacerdote, pô-lo-á sobre a cabeça daquele que se há de purificar, e fará expiação por ele diante de Jeová.19 Então o sacerdote oferecerá a oferta pelo pecado, e fará expiação por aquele que se há de purificar por causa da sua imundícia. Depois imolará o holocausto,20 e oferecerá o holocausto e a oferta de cereais sobre o altar; fará expiação por ele, e ele será limpo.21 Se for pobre, e as suas posses não lhe permitirem trazer tanto, tomará um cordeiro para uma oferta pela culpa como oferta movida, a fim de fazer expiação por ele, e uma dízima de uma efa de flor de farinha amassada com azeite como uma oferta de cereais, e um log de azeite;22 e duas rolas ou dois pombinhos, conforme as suas posses permitirem, um dos quais será uma oferta pelo pecado, e o outro para o holocausto.23 Ao oitavo dia os trará pela sua purificação ao sacerdote, à entrada da tenda da revelação, diante de Jeová.24 O sacerdote tomará o cordeiro da oferta pela culpa, e o log de azeite, e os oferecerá por oferta movida diante de Jeová.25 Matará o cordeiro da oferta pela culpa, e tomará do sangue da oferta pela culpa, e pô-lo-á sobre a ponta da orelha direita daquele que se há de purificar, e sobre o dedo polegar da sua mão direita, e sobre o dedo polegar do seu pé direito.26 Deitará do azeite na palma da mão esquerda;27 e com o dedo direito aspergirá diante de Jeová sete vezes do azeite que está na mão esquerda.28 Do azeite que está na mão porá sobre a ponta da orelha direita daquele que se há de purificar, e sobre o dedo polegar da sua mão direita, e sobre o dedo polegar de seu pé direito, por cima do sangue da oferta pela culpa.29 O restante do azeite que está na mão porá sobre a cabeça daquele que se há de purificar, para fazer expiação por ele diante de Jeová.30 Oferecerá uma das rolas, ou um dos pombinhos, conforme as suas posses lhe permitirem,31 sim conforme as suas posses: um para oferta pelo pecado, e o outro para holocausto, juntamente com a oferta de cereais; e o sacerdote fará expiação diante de Jeová por aquele que se há de purificar.32 Esta é a lei daquele em quem está a praga da lepra, e cujas posses não lhe permitirem trazer o que pertence à sua purificação.33 Disse mais Jeová a Moisés e a Arão:34 Quando entrardes na terra de Canaã, que eu vos hei de dar a vós em possessão, e eu puser a praga da lepra numa casa da terra da vossa possessão;35 o dono da casa irá e informará ao sacerdote, dizendo: Parece-me que há como praga em minha casa.36 O sacerdote ordenará que despejem a casa, antes que entre para examinar a praga, para que não fique imundo tudo o que está na casa. Depois entrará para examinar a casa;37 examiná-la-á, e, se a praga estiver nas paredes da casa em cavidades verdes ou vermelhas e parecer mais funda que a parede,38 o sacerdote sairá da casa até a porta dela, e a fechará por sete dias.39 Voltará ao sétimo dia, e a examinará. Se a praga se tiver espalhado nas paredes da casa,40 ele ordenará que se arranquem as pedras em que está a praga, e que as lancem fora da cidade num lugar imundo.41 Fará raspar a casa por dentro ao redor, e a argamassa que houverem raspado deitarão fora da cidade num lugar imundo;42 tomarão outras pedras, e as porão no lugar dessas pedras; tomará outra argamassa, e rebocará a casa.43 Se a praga voltar a brotar na casa, depois de arrancadas as pedras, raspada a casa e de novo rebocada;44 o sacerdote entrará e a examinará. Se a praga se tiver espalhado na casa, é lepra roedora na casa: é imunda.45 Derrubar-se-á a casa, as suas pedras e a sua madeira, e toda a argamassa da casa; e se levará para fora da cidade a um lugar imundo.46 Também aquele que entrar na casa, enquanto estiver fechada, será imundo até a tarde.47 Aquele que se deitar na casa lavará os seus vestidos; e quem comer na casa lavará os seus vestidos.48 Porém, se o sacerdote entrar e a examinar, e a praga não se tiver espalhado na casa, depois que tiver sido rebocada; declará-la-á limpa, porque a praga está curada.49 Para purificar a casa, tomará duas aves, e pau de cedro, e escarlata e hissopo.50 Matará uma das aves num vaso de barro sobre águas vivas;51 tomará o pau de cedro, e o hissopo, e a escarlata e a ave viva, e os molhará no sangue da ave morta, e nas águas vivas, e aspergirá a casa sete vezes.52 Purificará a casa com o sangue da ave, com as águas vivas, com a ave viva, com o pau de cedro, com o hissopo e com a escarlata;53 mas soltará a ave viva para fora da cidade sobre a face do campo. Assim fará expiação pela casa; e será limpa.54 Esta é a lei de toda a sorte de praga de lepra e de tinha;55 da lepra dos vestidos e das casas;56 das inchações, das pústulas e das manchas lustrosas;57 para ensinar quando for imundo, e quando for limpo: esta é a lei da lepra.

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:2 This is the rite of a leper, when he is to be cleansed: he shall be brought to the priest:3 Who going out of the camp when he shall And that the leprosy is cleansed,4 Shall command him that is to be purified, to offer for himself two living sparrows, which it is lawful to eat, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.5 And he shall command one of the sparrows to be immolated in an earthen vessel over living waters:6 But the other that is alive he shall dip, with the cedar wood, and the scarlet and the hyssop, in the blood of the sparrow that is immolated:7 Wherewith he shall sprinkle him that is to be cleansed seven times, that he may be rightly purified: and he shall let go the living sparrow, that it may fly into the field.8 And when the man hath washed his clothes, he shall shave all the hair of his body, and shall be washed with water: and being purified, he shall enter into the camp, yet so that he tarry without his own tent seven days:9 And on the seventh day he shall shave the hair of his head, and his beard and his eyebrows, and the hair of all his body. And having washed again his clothes, and his body,10 On the eighth day he shall take two lambs without blemish, and an ewe of a year old without blemish, and three tenths of flour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a sextary of oil apart.11 And when the priest that purifieth the man, hath presented him, and all these things before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony,12 He shall take a. lamb, and offer it for a trespass offering with the sextary of oil: and having offered all before the Lord,13 He shall immolate the lamb, where the victim for sin is wont to be immolated, and the holocaust, that is, in the holy place: for as that which is for sin, so also the victim for a trespass offering pertaineth to the priest: it is holy of holies.14 And the priest taking of the blood of the victim that was immolated for trespass, shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot:15 And he shall pour of the sextary of oil into his own left. hand,16 And shall dip his right finger in it, and sprinkle it before the Lord seven times.17 And the rest of the oil in his left band, he shall pour upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot, and upon the blood that was shed for trespass,18 And upon his head.19 And he shall pray for him before the Lord, and shall offer the sacrifice for sin: then shall he immolate the holocaust,20 And put it on the altar with the libations thereof, and the man shall be rightly cleansed.21 But if he be poor, and his hand cannot find the things aforesaid: he shall take a lamb for an offering for trespass, that the priest may pray for him, and a tenth part of hour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a sextary of oil,22 And two turtles or two young pigeons, of which one may be for sin, and the other for a holocaust:23 And he shall offer them on the eighth day of his purification to the priest, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the Lord.24 And the priest receiving the lamb for trespass, and the sextary of oil, shall elevate them together.25 And the lamb being immolated, he shall put of the blood thereof upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and the great toe of his right foot:26 But he shall pour part of the oil into his own left hand,27 And dipping the finger of his right hand in it, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord:28 And he shall touch the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot, in the place of the blood that was shed for trespass.29 And the other part of the oil that is in his left hand, he shall pour upon the head of the purified person, that he may appease the Lord for him.30 And he shall offer a turtle, or young pigeon,31 One for trespass, and the other for a holocaust, with their libations.32 This is the sacrifice of a leper, that is not able to have all things that appertain to his cleansing.33 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:34 When you shall be come into the land of Chanaan, which I will give you for a possession, if there be the plague of leprosy in a house,35 He whose house it is, shall go and tell the priest, saying: It seemeth to me, that there is the plague of leprosy in my house,36 And he shall command, that they carry forth all things out of the house, before he go into it, and see whether it have the leprosy, lest all things become unclean that are in the house. And after- wards he shall go in to view the leprosy of the house.37 And if he see in the walls thereof as it were little dints, disfigured with paleness or redness, and lower than all the rest,38 He shall go out of the door of the house, and forthwith shut it up seven days,39 And returning on the seventh day, he shall look upon it. If he find that the leprosy is spread,40 He shall command, that the stones wherein the leprosy is, be taken out, and cast without the city into an unclean place:41 And that the house be scraped on the inside round about, and the dust of the scraping be scattered without the city into an unclean place:42 And that other stones be laid in the place of them that were taken away, and the house be plastered with other mortar.43 But if, after the stones be taken out, and the dust scraped off, and it be plastered with other earth,44 The priest going in perceive that the leprosy is returned, and the walls full of spots, it is a lasting leprosy, and the house is unclean:45 And they shall destroy it forthwith, and shall cast the stones and timber thereof, and all the dust without the town into an unclean place.46 He that entereth into the house when it is shut, shall be unclean until evening,47 And he that sleepeth in it, and eateth any thing, shall wash his clothes.48 But if the priest going in perceive that the leprosy is not spread in the house, after it was plastered again, he shall purify it, it being cured,49 And for the purification thereof he shall take two sparrows, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:50 And having immolated one sparrow In an earthen vessel over living waters,51 He shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living sparrow, and shall dip all in the blood of the sparrow that is immolated, and in the living water, and he shall sprinkle the house seven times:52 And shall purify it as well with the blood of the sparrow, as with the living water, and with the living sparrow, and with the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet.53 And when he hath let go the sparrow to fly freely away into the field, he shall pray for the house, and it shall be rightly cleansed.54 This is the law of every kind of leprosy and stroke.55 Of the leprosy of garments and houses,56 Of a scar and of blisters breaking out, of a shining spot, and when the colours are diversely changed:57 That it may be known when a thing is clean or unclean.
