1 Disse Jeová a Moisés:2 Ordena aos filhos de Israel que te tragam azeite puro de oliveira, esprimido num gral, para o candeeiro, para fazer arder uma lâmpada continuamente.3 Fora do véu do testemhunho, na tenda da revelação colocá-la-á Arão diante de Jeová continuamente desde a tarde até pela manhã: será um estatuto perpétuo pelas vossas gerações.4 Sobre o candeeiro puro colocará as lâmpadas diante de Jeová continuamente.5 Também tomarás flor de farinha, e dela cozerás doze pães; cada um dos quais terá duas dízimas de uma efa.6 Pô-las-ás sobre a mesa para diante de Jeová, em duas fileiras, seis em cada fileira.7 Porás sobre cada fileira incenso puro, a fim de que seja sobre o pão como memorial, isto é, como oferta queimada a Jeová.8 Todos os sábados serão dispostos diante de Jeová continuamente; é a favor dos filhos de Israel um estatuto perpétuo.9 Pertencerão a Arão e a seus filhos; eles os comerão num lugar santo, pois são para ele coisa santíssima das ofertas queimadas, de Jeová, por estatuto perpétuo.10 Dentre os filhos de Israel saiu o filho duma mulher israelita, o qual teve por pai um egípcio. Houve uma contenda no arraial entre o filho da mulher israelita, e um homem de Israel;11 o filho da mulher israelita blasfemou o Nome, e praguejou. Trouxeram-no a Moisés. Ora o nome de sua mãe era Selomite, filha de Dibri, da tribo de Dã.12 Puseram-no em prisão, para que viesse a sentença da boca de Jeová.13 Disse Jeová a Moisés:14 Tira o que blasfemou para fora do arraial; todos os que o ouviram porão as mãos sobre a cabeça dele, e toda a congregação o apedrejará.15 Dirás aos filhos de Israel: Todo o homem que amaldiçoar ao seu Deus, levará sobre si o seu pecado.16 Aquele que blasfemar o nome de Jeová certamente será morto; toda a congregação o apedrejará. Será morto tanto o estrangeiro como o natural, quando blasfemar o Nome.17 Quem matar a alguém certamente será morto;18 e quem matar a um animal por este fará restituição: vida por vida.19 Se alguém causar um defeito em seu próximo; como fez, assim se lhe fará a ele:20 quebradura por quebradura, olho por olho, dente por dente; como causou um defeito num homem, assim se lhe retribuirá a ele.21 Quem matar a um animal por este fará restituição; quem matar a um homem certamente será morto.22 Uma e a mesma lei tereis tanto para o estrangeiro como para o natural; pois eu sou Jeová vosso Deus.23 Então falou Moisés aos filhos de Israel; eles tiraram aquele que praguejara para fora do arraial, e o apedrejaram. Fizeram os filhos de Israel como Jeová ordenou a Moisés.

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee the finest and dearest oil of olives, to furnish the lamps continually,3 Without the veil of the testimony in the tabernacle of the covenant. And Aaron shall set them from evening until morning before the Lord, by a perpetual service and rite in your generations.4 They shall be set upon the most pure candlestick before the Lord continually.5 Thou shalt take also fine hour, and shalt bake twelve leaves thereof, two tenths shall be in every loaf :6 And thou shalt set them six and six one against another upon the most clean table before the Lord:7 And thou shalt put upon them the dearest frankincense, that the bread may be for a memorial of the oblation of the Lord.8 Every sabbath they shall be changed before the Lord, being received of the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant:9 And they shall be Aaron's and his sons', that they may eat them in the holy place: because it is most holy of the sacrifices of the Lord by a perpetual right.10 And behold there went out the son of a woman of Israel, whom she had of an Egyptian, among the children of Israel, and fell at words in the camp with a man of Israel.11 And when he had blasphemed the name, and had cursed it, he was brought to Moses: (now his mother was called Salumith, the daughter of Dabri, of the tribe of Dan:)12 And they put him into prison, till they might know what the Lord would command.13 And the Lord spoke to Moses,14 Saying: Bring forth the blasphemer without the camp, and let them that heard him, put their hands upon his head, and let all the people stone him.15 And thou shalt speak to the children of Israel: the man that curseth his God, shall bear his sin:16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, dying let him die: all the multitude shall stone him, whether he be a native or a stranger. He that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, dying let him die.17 He that striketh and killeth a man, dying let him die.18 He that killeth a beast, shall make it good, that is to say, shall give beast for beast.19 He that giveth a blemish to any of his neighbours: as he hath done, so shall it be done to him:20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, shall he restore. What blemish he gave, the like shall he be compelled to suffer.21 He that striketh a beast, shall render another. He that striketh a man shall be punished.22 Let there be equal judgment among you, whether he be a stranger, or a native that offends: because I am the Lord your God.23 And Moses spoke to the children of Israel: and they brought forth him that had blasphemed, without the camp, and they stoned him. And the children of Israel did as the Lord had commanded Moses.
