Exortação. Tudo tenho como perda pela excelência do conhecimento de Cristo

1 Quanto ao mais, irmãos meus, *Fp 4.4; cp.2.18regozijai-vos no Senhor. A mim, por certo, não me é penoso, mas a vós, vos é seguro que eu vos escreva as mesmas coisas. 2 Acautelai-vos dos *Sl 22.16,20;Ap 22.15; cp.Gl 5.15cães, acautelai-vos dos *2Co 11.13maus obreiros, acautelai-vos dos falsos circuncidados. 3 Pois *vd.Rm 2.29;9.6; cp.Gl 6.15os circuncidados somos nós que *cp.Gl 5.25rendemos culto pelo Espírito de Deus, e *Rm 15.17; cp.Gl 6.14gloriamo-nos *Fp 3.12; vd.Fp 1.1; cp.Rm 8.39em Cristo Jesus, e não pomos confiança na carne, 4 se bem que *cp.2Co 11.18;5.16eu poderia confiar até na carne. Se algum outro julga que pode confiar na carne, eu ainda mais: 5 *vd.Lc 1.59circuncidado ao oitavo dia, da *2Co 11.22; cp.Rm 11.1raça de Israel, *Rm 11.1da tribo de Benjamim, hebreu de hebreus. Quanto à Lei, fui *vd.At 22.3;23.6;26.5fariseu; 6 quanto ao zelo, *vd.At 8.3persegui a Igreja, tendo-me tornado *Fp 2.15irrepreensível quanto *Fp 3.9à justiça que há na Lei. 7 Mas *cp.Lc 14.33o que era para mim lucro, isto mesmo tenho como perda por amor de Cristo. 8 Sim, na verdade, e tudo tenho como perda pela excelência do *Jo 17.3;Ef 4.13;2Pe 1.3; cp.Fp 3.10;Jr 9.23s.conhecimento de Cristo Jesus, meu Senhor, pelo qual perdi todas as coisas e considero-as como refugo, para ganhar a Cristo 9 e ser achado nele, não tendo como *Rm 10.5; cp.Fp 3.6minha justiça a que vem da Lei, mas aquela que vem pela fé em Cristo, *vd.Rm 9.30; cp.1Co 1.30a justiça que procede de Deus, baseada na fé; 10 para o conhecer e *cp.Rm 6.5o poder da sua ressurreição e a *vd.Rm 8.17participação dos seus sofrimentos, *vd.Rm 6.5;8.36;Gl 6.17conformando-me com ele na sua morte; 11 *vd.1Co 15.23;Ap 20.5s.; cp.At 26.7para ver, se de algum modo posso atingir à ressurreição dentre os mortos. 12 Não digo que eu já o tenha *cp.1Co 9.24s.;1Tm 6.12,19obtido ou que seja já *1Co 13.10perfeito, mas vou prosseguindo para ver se também *1Tm 6.12,19poderei alcançar aquilo para o que igualmente *At 9.5s.fui tomado por Cristo Jesus. 13 Irmãos, eu não julgo ter ainda alcançado; mas uma coisa faço: *cp.Lc 9.62esquecendo-me das coisas que ficam para trás e avançando para as que estão adiante, 14 *1Co 9.24; cp.Hb 6.1prossigo em direção ao alvo, para obter o prêmio da *vd.Rm 11.29; cp.8.28;2Tm 1.9vocação celestial de Deus em *vd.Fp 3.3Cristo Jesus. 15 Todos, então, que somos *vd.1Co 2.6; cp.Mt 5.48perfeitos, tenhamos este sentimento; e, se sentis alguma coisa *cp.Gl 5.10de modo diverso, *Ef 1.17;1Ts 4.9; cp.Jo 6.45Deus também vo-lo revelará. 16 Todavia, andemos *Gl 6.16pela mesma regra a que temos chegado.

Os inimigos da cruz de Cristo

17 Tornai-vos todos meus *vd.1Co 4.16; cp.Fp 4.9imitadores, irmãos, e observai aqueles que assim andam conforme nos tendes por *1Pe 5.3modelo. 18 Pois *vd.2Co 11.13muitos andam entre nós, dos quais repetidas vezes eu vos dizia e agora vos digo, até *cp.At 20.31chorando, que eles são inimigos da *cp.Gl 6.14cruz de Cristo. 19 O seu fim é a perdição, o seu deus é o *Rm 16.18; cp.Tt 1.12ventre, e a sua *cp.Rm 6.21;Jd 13glória assenta no que é vergonhoso, *Rm 8.5s.;Cl 3.2e só cuidam das coisas terrenas. 20 Pois a *Ef 2.19; cp.Fp 1.27;Cl 3.1;Hb 12.22nossa pátria está nos céus, donde também *vd.1Co 1.7aguardamos como Salvador o Senhor Jesus Cristo, 21 o qual *1Co 15.43-53transformará o corpo da nossa humilhação, de maneira que seja *Rm 8.29;Cl 3.4conforme ao *1Co 15.43,49corpo da sua glória, *vd.Ef 1.19segundo a operação com que também pode *1Co 15.28sujeitar a si todas as coisas.

1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. 3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. 4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: 5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; 6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. 7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. 16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. 17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. 18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
