9 Ai daquele que adquire para a sua casa *Jr 22.13;Ez 22.27lucros criminosos, *Is 47.7;Jr 49.16para pôr num lugar alto o seu ninho, para se livrar da mão da calamidade! 10 Tens consultado *Hc 2.16;2Rs 9.26;Na 1.14vergonha para a tua casa, exterminando a muitos povos e *Nm 16.38;Pv 1.18;Jr 26.19pecando contra ti mesmo. 11 Pois a *Js 24.27;Lc 19.40pedra clamará da parede, e a trave lhe responderá do madeiramento.

12 Ai daquele que *Mq 3.10;Na 3.1edifica uma cidade com derramamento de sangue e funda uma cidade na iniquidade! 13 Eis não procede de Jeová dos Exércitos que os povos *Is 50.11;55.2;Jr 51.58trabalhem para o fogo e as nações se fatiguem para a vaidade? 14 Pois a terra *Sl 22.27;Is 11.9;Zc 14.8-9se encherá do conhecimento da glória de Jeová, como as águas cobrem o mar.

15 Ai daquele que dá *Is 28.7-8de beber ao seu próximo, sim, ai de ti que lhe derramas o teu furor e que o embebedas, para veres a sua nudez! 16 Estás cheio *Hc 2.10de vergonha em lugar de glória; *Lm 4.21bebe tu também e sê como quem está incircunciso; *Jr 25.15,27o cálice da mão direita de Jeová será apresentado a ti, *Na 3.6e vergonhosa ignomínia estará sobre a tua glória. 17 Pois a *Jl 3.19;Zc 11.1violência cometida contra o Líbano te cobrirá e bem assim a destruição das feras que os amedrontou, *Hc 2.8;Sl 55.23por causa do sangue dos homens e pela *Hc 2.8;Jr 51.35violência feita à terra, à cidade e a todos os que nela habitam.

18 Que *Is 42.17;44.9;Jr 2.27-28aproveita a imagem esculpida, visto que o seu artífice a esculpiu? A imagem fundida e *Jr 10.8,14;Zc 10.2que ensina mentiras, visto que o artífice *Sl 115.4,8confia na sua imagem que faz, formando ídolos mudos? 19 Ai daquele *Jr 2.27-28que diz ao pau: *1Rs 18.26-29Acorda; à pedra muda: Levanta-te. Acaso, ensinará a imagem? Eis que está coberta de *Jr 10.9,14ouro e de prata, e dentro dela *Sl 135.17não há fôlego algum. 20 *Mq 1.2Jeová, porém, está no seu santo templo; *Sf 1.7;Zc 2.13cale-se diante dele toda a terra.

12 Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!*2.12 blood: Heb. bloods 13 Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?*2.13 for…: or, in vain? 14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.*2.14 with…: or, by knowing the glory

15 Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness! 16 Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’s right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.*2.16 with…: or, more with shame than with glory 17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
