Devastação de Moabe

1 De *Is 42.11;2Rs 14.7Sela, que olha para o deserto, *2Rs 3.4;Ed 7.17enviai ao *Is 10.32monte da filha de Sião os cordeiros para quem domina a terra. 2 Pois, *Pv 27.8como os pássaros que vagueiam, como o ninho espalhado, assim serão as filhas de *Jr 48.19-20,46Moabe junto aos vaus de *Nm 21.13-14Arnom. 3 Dá conselhos, executa juízo no meio da luz meridiana, faze *Is 25.4;32.2;1Rs 18.4a tua sombra como a noite; esconde os desterrados e não traias aquele que foge. 4 Habitem contigo os meus desterrados; quanto a Moabe, serve-lhe de esconderijo da face do devastador; porque já teve seu fim o que pratica extorsão, terminada está a destruição, consumidos da terra estão *Is 9.4;14.4;49.26;51.13;54.14os opressores. 5 Será estabelecido em benignidade *Is 9.6-7;32.1;55.4;Dn 7.14;Mq 4.7;Lc 1.33um trono, e sobre ele se assentará em verdade na tenda de *Is 9.7Davi quem julgue, procure juízo e seja versado em retidão.

6 *Jr 48.29;Am 2.1;Ob 3-4;Sf 2.8,10Temos ouvido a soberba de Moabe e que é em extremo soberbo; temos ouvido a sua arrogância, e a sua soberba, e a sua indignação; *Jr 48.30de nada valem as suas jactâncias. 7 Portanto, Moabe pranteará em alta voz por Moabe, todos, à uma, prantearão; pelos *1Cr 16.3cachos de passas de *2Rs 3.25;Jr 48.31Quir-Haresete suspirareis, inteiramente desanimados. 8 Na verdade, são murchos os campos de *Is 15.4Hesbom, e a vide de *Nm 32.38Sibma, cujas melhores plantas derrubaram os senhores das nações, chegaram até Jazer e penetraram no deserto, *Jr 48.32estendendo-se os seus renovos e passando à outra banda do mar. 9 Por isso, *Jr 48.32chorarei com o choro de Jazer pela vide de Sibma; com as minhas lágrimas, regar-te-ei, ó *Is 15.4Hesbom, ó Eleale, pois, *Jr 40.10,12;48.32sobre a tua ceifa e sobre a tua vindima, já caiu o grito da batalha. 10 *Is 24.8;Jr 48.33A alegria e o regozijo são tirados do fértil campo; *Is 24.7;Jz 9.27;Am 5.11,17nas vinhas, não há cântico nem júbilo; *Jó 24.11;Am 9.13o pisador não pisa vinho nos lagares; fiz cessar os gritos da vindima. 11 Por essa razão, as minhas entranhas *Is 15.5;63.15;Jr 48.36;Os 11.8;Fp 2.1fazem por Moabe ruído como harpa, e o meu interior, por Quir-Heres, 12 Quando Moabe se *Nm 22.39-41;Jr 48.35apresentar, *1Rs 18.29se cansar *Is 15.2nos altos e entrar no seu santuário para orar, *2Rs 19.12;Sl 115.4-7;Jr 10.5;1Co 8.4;10.20não prevalecerá.

13 Esta é a palavra que Jeová antes falou acerca de Moabe. 14 Agora, porém, acaba Jeová de falar: Dentro de três anos, como os anos *Is 21.16;Jó 7.1;14.6de jornaleiros, virá a ser desprezada a glória de *Is 25.10;Jr 48.42Moabe, juntamente com toda a sua grande multidão; e o que lhe resta será pequeno e de nenhum valor.

6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so. 7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kir-hareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.*16.7 mourn: or, mutter 8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.*16.8 stretched…: or, plucked up

9 Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.*16.9 the shouting…: or, the alarm is fallen upon, etc 10 And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease. 11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kir-haresh.

12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail. 13 This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time. 14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.*16.14 feeble: or, not many
