Predição do cativeiro dos egípcios e dos etíopes

1 No ano em que *2Rs 18.17Tartã, enviado por Sargom, rei da Assíria, veio a *1Sm 5.1Asdode, pelejou contra ela e a tomou; 2 nesse tempo, falou Jeová por intermédio de *Is 1.1;13.1Isaías, filho de Amoz: Vai, desata dos teus lombos o *Zc 13.4;Mt 3.4saco e tira dos teus pés *Ez 24.17,23os sapatos. Ele assim o fez, andando *1Sm 19.24;Mq 1.8nu e descalço. 3 Jeová disse: Assim como o meu servo Isaías tem andado nu e descalço por três anos, para servir de *Is 8.18sinal e portento contra o Egito e contra a *Is 37.9;43.3Etiópia, 4 assim os cativos do Egito e os exilados da Etiópia, moços e velhos, serão levados pelo *Is 19.4rei da Assíria *Is 47.2-3nus e descalços e com as nádegas descobertas para a vergonha do Egito. 5 Os homens sentirão *Is 30.3-5;31.1;2Rs 18.21;Ez 29.6-7pavor e vergonha por causa da Etiópia, sua expectação, e por causa do Egito, *Jr 9.23-24;17.5;1Co 3.21sua glória. 6 Os habitantes desta região dirão naquele dia: Eis que assim acontece a nossa expectação, a quem recorremos, *Is 10.3;30.7;31.3;Jr 30.1,7,15-17;31.1-3a fim de nos livrarmos do rei da Assíria. *Mt 23.33;1Ts 5.3;Hb 2.3Como havemos nós de escapar?

1 In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it; 2 At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot.
