Os juízos de Deus sobre as nações inimigas

1 Pois eis que, naqueles dias e naquele tempo, em que eu *Jr 16.15fizer tornar o cativeiro de Judá e de Jerusalém, 2 *Is 66.18;Mq 4.12congregarei todas as nações e as farei descer ao *Jl 3.12,14vale de Josafá; ali, *Is 66.16;Jr 25.31entrarei em juízo com elas por causa do meu povo e por causa da minha herança, Israel, que elas *Jr 50.17;Ez 34.6espalharam por entre os povos, *Ez 35.10;36.1-5dividindo entre si a terra. 3 Elas *Ob 11;Na 3.10deitaram sortes sobre o meu povo; *Am 2.6deram um menino por uma meretriz e venderam uma menina por vinho para beberem. 4 Que tendes vós comigo, *Am 1.9-10;Zc 9.2-4Tiro, e Sidom, e todas as regiões da *Am 1.6-8;Zc 9.5-7Filístia? Acaso, *Ez 25.12-17me dareis vós a paga? E, se ma derdes, ligeira e prontamente *Is 34.8;59.18vos farei tornar a paga sobre a vossa cabeça. 5 Porquanto *2Rs 12.18;2Cr 21.16-17levastes a minha prata e o meu ouro e metestes nos vossos templos as minhas coisas formosas e preciosas; 6 também vendestes *Jl 3.3;Ez 27.13os filhos de Judá e os filhos de Jerusalém aos *Zc 9.13filhos dos gregos, para os removerdes longe dos seus confins, 7 eis que os suscitarei do lugar para onde os vendestes *1Sm 15.33e farei tornar a vossa paga sobre a vossa cabeça; 8 venderei *Is 14.2;60.14vossos filhos e vossas filhas nas mãos dos filhos de Judá, e eles os venderão aos homens de *Jó 1.15;Sl 72.10;Ez 38.19Sabá, a uma nação remota, pois Jeová o disse.

9 *Jr 51.27-28Proclamai isto entre as nações: *Jr 6.4;Mq 3.5Preparai a guerra; *Is 8.9-10;Jr 46.3-4;Zc 14.2-3suscitai os valentes; cheguem-se todos os homens de guerra; subam. 10 *Is 2.4;Mq 4.3Forjai espadas das relhas dos vossos arados e lanças, das vossas podadeiras; diga o fraco: Eu sou forte. 11 *Ez 38.15-16;Sf 3.8Apressai-vos, e vinde, todas as nações ao redor, e ajuntai-vos; para ali faze, ó Jeová, descer *Is 13.3os teus valentes. 12 Suscitem-se as nações e subam *Jl 3.2ao vale de Josafá; pois ali me sentarei *Sl 7.6;98.9;Is 3.13para julgar todas as nações ao redor. 13 Metei a foice, porque está madura *Jr 51.33;Os 6.11a ceifa; vinde, pisai, porque *Is 63.3;Lm 1.15o lagar está cheio, e os vasos dos lagares trasbordam, pois grande é *Gn 18.20a sua malícia.

Porque *Jl 1.15;2.1,11,31o Dia de Jeová está perto, no vale da Decisão. 15 *Jl 2.10,31O sol e a lua escurecem, e as estrelas retiram o seu resplendor. 16 Jeová *Os 11.10;Am 1.2rugirá de Sião e de Jerusalém *Jl 2.11fará ouvir a sua voz; *Jl 2.10;Ez 38.19;Ag 2.6os céus e a terra tremerão; Jeová, porém, será *Sl 61.3;Is 33.16;Jr 17.17um refúgio para o seu povo e um *Jr 16.19;Na 1.7lugar forte para os filhos de Israel. 17 Assim *Jl 3.21;Jl 2.27sabereis que eu sou Jeová, vosso Deus, que habita em Sião, meu *Is 11.9;56.7;Ez 20.40santo monte; então, Jerusalém *Is 4.3;Ob 17será santa, e *Is 52.1;Na 1.15estrangeiros não passarão mais por ela.

Judá será restaurado

18 Naquele dia, acontecerá que *Am 9.13os montes destilarão vinho doce, e os outeiros *Êx 3.8manarão leite, e em todas as *Is 30.25;35.6torrentes de Judá correrão águas, e *Ez 47.1-12uma fonte sairá da Casa de Jeová e regará o vale de *Nm 25.1;Ez 47.8Sitim. 19 O Egito será uma desolação, e Edom, um deserto assolado, por causa da *Ob 10violência feita aos filhos de Judá, porque derramaram na sua terra o sangue inocente. 20 Judá, porém, *Ez 37.25;Am 9.15permanecerá para sempre, e Jerusalém, de geração em geração. 21 *Is 4.4;Ez 36.25Eu purificarei o seu sangue que não purifiquei, pois Jeová *Jl 3.17habita em Sião.

1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. 3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. 4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head; 5 Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:*3.5 pleasant: Heb. desirable 6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.*3.6 the Grecians: Heb. the sons of the Grecians 7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head: 8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.

9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:*3.9 Prepare: Heb. Sanctify 10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.*3.10 pruninghooks: or, scythes 11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.*3.11 cause…: or, the LORD shall bring down 12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. 13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.*3.14 decision: or, concision, or, threshing 15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. 16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.*3.16 hope: Heb. place of repair, or, harbour 17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.*3.17 holy: Heb. holiness

18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.*3.18 flow: Heb. go 19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. 20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.*3.20 dwell: or, abide 21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.*3.21 for the…: or, even I the LORD that
