O pecado de Israel e a sua consequência

1 *Os 10.5;Is 22.12-13Não te regozijes com júbilo, ó Israel, como os povos; porque *Os 4.12pela fornicação abandonaste o teu Deus, *Os 7.14amaste recompensa sobre todas as eiras de trigo. 2 A eira e o lagar *Os 2.9não os sustentarão, e o mosto lhe faltará. 3 Não habitarão na terra de Jeová, mas Efraim voltará para *Os 8.6;Os 7.16;8.13o Egito, e na *Os 7.11Assíria comerão *Ez 4.13viandas imundas. 4 Não derramarão *Êx 29.40libações de vinho a Jeová, nem elas lhe serão agradáveis. *Os 5.6;8.13Os seus sacrifícios lhes serão como o pão de pranteadores; todos os que comerem dele ficarão *Ag 2.14contaminados. Pois o seu pão servirá para lhes matar a fome; não entrará na casa de Jeová. 5 *Is 10.3;Jr 5.31Que fareis no dia de assembleia solene e no dia da *Os 2.11;Jl 1.13festa de Jeová? 6 Pois eis que se retiraram da destruição; todavia, *Os 9.3o Egito os congregará, e *Is 19.13;Jr 2.16;44.1;46.14,19;Ez 30.13,16Mênfis os sepultará; quanto a seus objetos desejáveis de prata, as urtigas os possuirão; *Os 10.8;Is 5.6;7.23espinhos crescerão nas suas tendas. 7 São vindos os dias da *Is 10.3;Jr 10.15;Mq 7.4visitação, são vindos os dias da *Is 34.8;Jr 16.18;25.14retribuição; Israel o saberá; o profeta *Lm 2.14;Ez 13.3,10é louco, o homem de espírito *Is 44.25é furioso, por causa da multidão da tua *Ez 14.9-10iniquidade e porque é grande a inimizade. 8 Efraim era um vigia para com o meu Deus; quanto ao profeta, *Os 5.1;Pv 29.5-6o laço do passarinheiro acha-se em todos os seus caminhos, e a inimizade, na Casa do seu Deus. 9 *Is 31.6Corromperam-se profundamente, como nos dias de *Os 5.8;10.9;Jz 19.12Gibeá; ele *Os 7.2;8.13se lembrará das iniquidades deles e visitará sobre eles os pecados.

10 Achei a Israel *Mq 7.1como uvas no deserto; vi vossos pais como *Jr 24.2a fruta temporã da figueira que dá pela primeira vez; mas eles foram *Nm 25.1-3a Baal-Peor, e se consagraram a essa *Os 4.18;Jr 11.13coisa vergonhosa, e se tornaram *Ez 20.8abomináveis como aquilo que amaram. 11 Quanto a Efraim, a sua glória *Os 4.7;10.5voará embora como uma ave; *Os 9.14;Os 4.10não haverá nascimento, nem mulher grávida, nem concepção. 12 Ainda *Os 9.16que criem os seus filhos, todavia, deles os privarei, para que não fique nem um só homem; *Os 7.13ai deles quando eu me apartar deles! 13 Efraim, assim como vi a *Ez 27.3-4Tiro, está plantado num lugar aprazível; mas Efraim levará fora seus filhos ao que lhes há de tirar a vida. 14 Dá-lhes, Jeová; que lhes darás? *Os 9.11Dá-lhes uma madre que aborte e seios secos. 15 Toda a sua malícia acha-se em *Os 4.15;12.11Gilgal, pois ali é que lhes concebi ódio; por causa *Os 4.9;7.2;12.2da malícia dos seus feitos, expulsá-los-ei da minha casa. Não os amarei; todos os seus príncipes *Os 5.2são rebeldes. 16 Ferido está *Os 5.11Efraim, seca está a sua raiz, *Os 8.7não darão fruto; embora *Os 9.12produzam, todavia, matarei *Ez 24.21o fruto querido do seu ventre. 17 O meu Deus os rejeitará, porque *Os 4.10não no ouviram; *Os 7.13e andarão errantes entre as nações.

7 The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.*9.7 spiritual…: Heb. man of the spirit 8 The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.*9.8 in the: or, against the 9 They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins. 10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baal-peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
