O sumo sacerdote Josué é o tipo do Renovo

1 Ele me mostrou o sumo sacerdote *Zc 6.11;Ed 5.2;Ag 1.1Josué, que estava diante do Anjo de Jeová, *1Cr 21.1;Jó 1.6;Sl 109.6e Satanás, que estava à mão direita dele para ser o seu adversário. 2 Jeová disse a Satanás: Que *Jd 9Jeová te repreenda, ó Satanás; sim, repreenda-te Jeová, que *Zc 2.12escolheu a Jerusalém; acaso, não é este um *Am 4.11;Jd 23tição tirado do fogo? 3 Ora, Josué estava vestido *Ed 9.15;Is 4.4;64.6de hábitos sujos e posto em pé diante do Anjo. 4 Este começou a falar e disse aos que estavam diante dele: *Is 43.25;Ez 36.25Tirai-lhe estes hábitos sujos. A Josué disse: Eis *Zc 3.9;Mq 7.18-19que hei feito passar de ti a tua iniquidade *Is 52.1;61.10e te vestirei de ricos trajos. 5 Eu disse: Ponham-lhe sobre a cabeça uma mitra limpa. Puseram-lhe, pois, sobre a cabeça uma *Jó 29.14;Is 3.23;62.3mitra limpa e vestiram-no de vestidos; e o Anjo de Jeová estava perto, de pé.

6 O Anjo de Jeová protestou a Josué, dizendo: 7 Assim diz Jeová dos Exércitos: Se *1Rs 3.14andares nos meus caminhos e observares o que tenho prescrito, também *Dt 17.9,12tu julgarás a minha casa e bem assim guardarás os meus *Is 62.9átrios, e te permitirei entrar e sair entre os que estão aqui. 8 Ouve, pois, Josué, sumo sacerdote, tu e teus colegas que se assentam diante de ti; porque são homens *Is 8.18;20.3;Ez 12.11de presságio; porquanto eis que farei vir o meu servo, *Zc 6.12;Is 11.1;53.2;Jr 33.15o Renovo. 9 Eis a pedra que tenho posto diante de Josué; sobre uma só pedra são *Zc 4.10;2Cr 16.9sete olhos. Eis que eu farei ao buril a sua escultura, diz Jeová dos Exércitos, *Zc 3.4;Jr 31.34;50.20e tirarei a iniquidade desta terra num só dia. 10 Naquele dia, diz Jeová dos Exércitos, chamareis, cada um de vós ao seu próximo para debaixo da *1Rs 4.25;Is 36.16;Mq 4.4videira e para debaixo da figueira.

And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. 5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by. 6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying, 7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.*3.7 charge: or, ordinance*3.7 places…: Heb. walks

8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.*3.8 wondered…: Heb. of wonder, or, sign 9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. 10 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
