Apocalipse 4

A visão de Deus sobre o seu trono. Os vinte e quatro anciãos e as quatro criaturas viventes

1 Depois *cp.Ap 1.12-15,19disso, olhei, e eis uma *cp.Ap 19.11;Ez 1.1porta aberta no céu e a primeira voz que ouvi (*Ap 1.10como de trombeta, falando comigo), dizendo: *Ap 11.12Sobe para aqui, e *Ap 1.19;22.6mostrar-te-ei o que deve acontecer depois dessas coisas. 2 Imediatamente, fui arrebatado *Ap 1.10pelo Espírito. Eis havia um *Ap 4.9s.;1Rs 22.19;Is 6.1;Ez 1.26;Dn 7.9trono posto no céu, e, sobre o trono, *Ap 4.9um sentado; 3 e aquele que estava sentado era, pelo que parecia, semelhante a *Ap 21.11uma pedra de jaspe e de *Ap 21.20sardônio; e havia ao redor do trono *Ez 1.28; cp.Ap 10.1um arco-íris semelhante, pelo que parecia, *Ap 21.19à esmeralda. 4 Estavam também *Ap 4.6;Ap 5.11;7.11ao redor do trono *Ap 11.16vinte e quatro tronos; e sobre os tronos vi *Ap 3.21;20.4; cp.2.26;Mt 19.28;2Tm 2.12sentados *Ap 4.10;Ap 5.6,8,14;19.4vinte e quatro anciãos *Ap 3.18vestidos de roupas brancas, e, nas suas cabeças, *Ap 4.10coroas de ouro. 5 Do trono saem *Ap 8.5;11.19;16.18; cp.Êx 19.16relâmpagos, vozes e trovões. Diante do trono ardiam *Zc 4.2; cp.Êx 25.37sete lâmpadas de fogo, que são os *Ap 1.4sete Espíritos de Deus; 6 diante do trono havia um como *Ap 15.2; cp.Ap 21.18,21;Ez 1.22mar de vidro, semelhante ao cristal; no meio do trono e *Ap 4.4ao redor do trono havia *Ez 1.5;Ap 4.8s.;Ap 5.6, etc.;6.1,6;7.11;14.3;15.7;19.4quatro criaturas viventes, *cp.Ez 1.18;10.12cheias de olhos por diante e por detrás. 7 *cp.Ez 1.10;10.14A primeira criatura era semelhante a um leão, a segunda, criatura semelhante a um novilho, a terceira criatura tinha um rosto como de homem, e a quarta criatura era semelhante a uma águia que voa. 8 *Ap 4.6As quatro criaturas, tendo cada uma delas *Is 6.2seis asas, são *Ap 4.6cheias de olhos ao redor e por dentro. *Ap 14.11Não têm descanso dia e noite, dizendo:

*Is 6.3Santo, Santo, Santo, é o *Ap 1.8Senhor Deus, o Todo-Poderoso, *Ap 1.4o que era, que é e o que há de vir.

9 Quando aquelas criaturas viventes derem glória, e honra, e ações de graças ao que *Ap 4.2; cp.Is 6.1;Sl 47.8está sentado sobre o trono, *Ap 10.6;15.7;Dt 32.40;Dn 4.34;12.7ao que vive pelos séculos dos séculos, 10 *Ap 4.4os vinte e quatro anciãos *Ap 5.8,14;7.11;11.16;19.4se prostrarão diante daquele que está sentado sobre o trono, e adorarão ao que vive pelos séculos dos séculos, e lançarão as suas *Ap 4.4coroas diante do trono, dizendo:

11 *Ap 5.12; cp.1.6Tu és digno, Senhor nosso e Deus nosso, de receber a glória, e a honra, e o poder, porque tu *Ap 10.6;14.7;At 14.15criaste todas as coisas, e, pela tua vontade, existiram e foram criadas.

1 After these things I looked and saw a door opened in heaven; and the first voice that I heard, like a trumpet speaking with me, was one saying, "Come up here, and I will show you the things which must happen after this."

2 Immediately I was in the Spirit. Behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and one sitting on the throne 3 that looked like a jasper stone and a sardius. There was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald to look at. 4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones. On the thrones were twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white garments, with crowns of gold on their heads. 5 Out of the throne proceed lightnings, sounds, and thunders. There were seven lamps of fire burning before his throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. 6 Before the throne was something like a sea of glass, similar to crystal. In the middle of the throne, and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind. 7 The first creature was like a lion, the second creature like a calf, the third creature had a face like a man, and the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8 The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, "Holy, holy, holy*4:8 Hodges/Farstad MT reads "holy" 9 times instead of 3. is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!"

9 When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever, and throw their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, the Holy One,*4:11 TR omits "and God, the Holy One," to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed and were created!"
