Números 13

31 Porém os homens que subiram com ele disseram: *Dt 1.28;9.1-3Não poderemos subir contra o povo, porque é mais forte do que nós. 32 Diante dos filhos de Israel, *Nm 14.36-37;Sl 106.24infamaram a terra que haviam espiado, dizendo: A terra por meio da qual passamos para a espiar é *Ez 36.13-14terra que devora os seus habitantes; *Am 2.9todo o povo que vimos nela são homens de grande estatura. 33 Ali, vimos os *Gn 6.4nefilins (os filhos de Anaque são dos nefilins); *Dt 1.28;9.2;Js 11.21éramos, aos nossos próprios olhos, como gafanhotos, e assim também o éramos aos seus olhos.

31 But the men who went up with him said, "We aren’t able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we." 32 They brought up an evil report of the land which they had spied out to the children of Israel, saying, "The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that eats up its inhabitants; and all the people who we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the Nephilim,*13:33 or, giants the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim.*13:33 or, giants We were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight."
