1 Eis a posteridade dos filhos de Noé: Sem, Cam e Jefet. Estes tiveram filhos depois do dilúvio.2 Filhos de Jafet: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javã, Tubal, Mosoc e Tiras.3 Filhos de Gomer: Ascenez, Rifat e Togorma.4 Filhos de Javã: Elisa e Társis, Cetim e Dodanim.5 Destes saíram os povos dispersos nas ilhas das nações, em seus diversos países, cada um segundo sua língua e segundo suas famílias e suas nações.6 Filhos de Cam: Cus, Mesraim, Fut e Canaã.7 Filhos de Cus: Saba, Hevila, Sabata, Regma e Sabataca. Filhos de Regma: Saba e Dadã.8 Cus gerou Nemrod, que foi o primeiro homem poderoso da terra.9 Ele foi um grande caçador diante do Senhor. Donde a expressão: "Como Nemrod, grande caçador diante do Eterno."10 Ele estabeleceu o seu reino primeiramente em Babilônia, Arac, Acad e em Calane, na terra de Senaar.11 Daí foi para Assur e construiu Nínive, Recobot-Ir, Cale12 e Resem, a grande cidade entre Nínive e Cale.13 Mesraim gerou os ludim, os anamim, os laabim, os neftuim,14 os fetrusim, os casluim e os caftorim, donde saíram os filisteus.15 Canaã gerou Sidon, seu primogênito, e Het,16 assim como os jebuseus, os amorreus, os gergeseus,17 os heveus, os araceus, os sineus,18 os aradeus, os samareus e os hamateus. Em seguida, as famílias dos cananeus se dispersaram,19 e o território dos cananeus era desde Sidon, na direção de Gerara, até Gaza; e na direção de Sodoma, Gomorra, Adama e Seboim, até Lesa.20 Estes são os filhos de Cam segundo suas famílias, suas línguas, em seus diversos países e suas nações.21 Nasceram também filhos a Sem, pai de todos os filhos de Heber, e irmão mais velho de Jafet.22 Filhos de Sem: Elão, Assur, Arfaxad, Lud e Arão.23 Filhos de Arão: Us, Hul, Geter e Mes.24 Arfaxad gerou Salé, Salé gerou Heber.25 Heber teve dois filhos: um se chamava Faleg, porque no seu tempo a terra foi dividida, e o outro se chamava Jetã.26 Jetã gerou Elmodad, Salef, Asarmot, Jaré,27 Adurão, Uzal, Decla,28 Ebal, Abimael, Saba,29 Ofir, Hevila e Jobab. Estes são os filhos de Jetã.30 A terra que eles habitavam se estendia desde Mesa, na direção de Sefar, até a montanha do Oriente.31 Estes são os filhos de Sem, segundo suas famílias, segundo suas línguas, em seus diversos países e suas nações.32 Tais são as famílias dos filhos de Noé, segundo suas gerações e suas nações. É dele que descendem as nações que se espalharam sobre a terra depois do dilúvio.

1 Now these [are] the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and unto them were born sons after the flood.2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.4 And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Dodanim.5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands, each one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.6 And the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim and Phut and Canaan.7 And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.8 And Cush begat Nimrod. He began to be powerful in the earth.9 He was a powerful hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, Even as Nimrod, the powerful hunter before the LORD.10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh in the land of Shinar.11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, who built Nineveh and the city Rehoboth and Calah12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah; the same [is] a great city.13 And Mizraim begat Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim14 and Pathrusim and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistines) and Caphtorim.15 And Canaan begat Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth16 and Jebusi and Amori and Girgasi17 and Hivi and Arki and Sini18 and Arvadi and Zemari and Hamathi; and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar unto Gaza, as thou goest, unto Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.20 These [are] the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, [and] in their nations.21 Unto Shem also, the father of all the sons of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, even to him were [sons] born.22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.23 And the sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.24 And Arphaxad begat Salah, and Salah begat Eber.25 And unto Eber were born two sons; the name of one [was] Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name [was] Joktan.26 And Joktan begat Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these [were] the sons of Joktan.30 And their dwelling was from Mesha as thou goest unto Sephar, mount of the east.31 These [are] the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.32 These [are] the families of the sons of Noah, after their descendants, in their nations; and by these were the Gentiles divided in the earth after the flood.:
