1 Hỡi Đức Chúa Trời, xin hãy nghe tiếng than thở tôi, Gìn giữ mạng sống tôi khỏi sợ kẻ thù nghịch.2 Xin Chúa giấu tôi khỏi mưu nhiệm của kẻ dữ, Khỏi lũ ồn ào của những kẻ làm ác.3 Chúng nó đã mài lưỡi mình như thanh gươm. Nhắm mũi tên mình, tức là lời cay đắng,4 Đặng từ nơi kín giấu bắn vào kẻ trọn vẹn; Thình lình chúng nó bắn đại trên người, chẳng sợ gì.5 Chúng nó tự vững lòng bền chí trong mưu ác, Bàn tính nhau để gài bẫy kín giấu, Mà rằng: Ai sẽ thấy được?6 Chúng nó toan những điều ác; chúng nó nói rằng: Chúng tôi đã làm xong; mưu đã sắp sẵn. Tư tưởng bề trong và lòng của mỗi người thật là sâu sắc.7 Nhưng Đức Chúa Trời sẽ bắn chúng nó: Thình lình chúng nó bị trên thương tích.8 Như vậy chúng nó sẽ vấp ngã, lưỡi chúng nó nghịch lại chúng nó; Hết thảy ai thấy đến đều sẽ lắc đầu.9 Cả loài người đều sẽ sợ; Họ sẽ rao truyền công việc của Đức Chúa Trời, Và hiểu biết điều Ngài đã làm.10 Người công bình sẽ vui vẻ nơi Đức Giê-hô-va, và nương náu mình nơi Ngài, còn những kẻ có lòng ngay thẳng đều sẽ khoe mình.

Of David. 2 \64:1\O God, let the voice of my grief come to your ear: keep my life from the fear of those who are against me.3 \64:2\Keep me safe from the secret purpose of wrongdoers; from the band of the workers of evil;4 \64:3\Who make their tongues sharp like a sword, and whose arrows are pointed, even bitter words;5 \64:4\So that in secret they may let loose their arrows at the upright, suddenly and unseen.6 \64:5\They make themselves strong in an evil purpose; they make holes for secret nets; they say, Who will see it,7 \64:6\Or make discovery of our secret purpose? The design is framed with care; and the inner thought of a man, and his heart, is deep.8 \64:7\But God sends out an arrow against them; suddenly they are wounded.9 \64:8\The evil of their tongues is the cause of their fall; all those who see them are shaking their heads at them.10 \64:9\And in fear men make public the works of God; and giving thought to his acts they get wisdom.11 \64:10\The upright will be glad in the Lord and have hope in him; and all the lovers of righteousness will give him glory.
