1 Paul, an apostle—not from men, nor through man, but through Jesus Christ,*1:1 "Christ" means "Anointed One". and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— 2 and all the brothers*1:2 The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings." who are with me, to the assemblies of Galatia: 3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father— 5 to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

6 I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different "good news", 7 but there isn’t another "good news." Only there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Good News of Christ. 8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any "good news" other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed. 9 As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any "good news" other than that which you received, let him be cursed.

10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.

11 But I make known to you, brothers, concerning the Good News which was preached by me, that it is not according to man. 12 For I didn’t receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ. 13 For you have heard of my way of living in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the assembly of God and ravaged it. 14 I advanced in the Jews’ religion beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers. 15 But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through his grace, 16 to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I didn’t immediately confer with flesh and blood, 17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia. Then I returned to Damascus.

18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter, and stayed with him fifteen days. 19 But of the other apostles I saw no one except James, the Lord’s brother. 20 Now about the things which I write to you, behold,*1:20 "Behold", from "ἰδοὺ", means look at, take notice, observe, see, or gaze at. It is often used as an interjection. before God, I’m not lying. 21 Then I came to the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22 I was still unknown by face to the assemblies of Judea which were in Christ, 23 but they only heard, "He who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once tried to destroy." 24 So they glorified God in me.

6 Mă mir că treceți așa de repede de la Cel ce v-a chemat prin harul lui Hristos la o altă evanghelie*Cap. 5:8.. 7 Nu doar că*2 Cor. 11:4.Fapte 15:1,24.2 Cor. 2:17;11:13. Cap. 5:10,12. este o altă evanghelie, dar sunt unii oameni care vă tulbură și voiesc să răstoarne Evanghelia lui Hristos. 8 Dar chiar dacă noi*1 Cor. 16:22. înșine sau un înger din cer ar veni să vă propovăduiască o evanghelie deosebită de aceea pe care v-am propovăduit-o noi, să fie anatema! 9 Cum am mai spus, o spun și acum: Dacă vă propovăduiește cineva o evanghelie deosebită*Deut. 4:2;12:32.Prov. 30:6.Apoc. 22:18. de aceea pe care ați primit-o, să fie anatema! 10 Caut*1 Tes. 2:4. eu oare*1 Sam. 24:7.Mat. 28:14.1 Ioan 3:19., în clipa aceasta, să capăt bunăvoința oamenilor sau bunăvoința lui Dumnezeu? Sau caut*1 Tes. 2:4.Iac. 4:4. să plac oamenilor? Dacă aș mai căuta să plac oamenilor, n-aș fi robul lui Hristos.

11 Fraților*1 Cor. 15:1., vă mărturisesc că Evanghelia propovăduită de mine nu este de obârșie omenească, 12 pentru că n-am primit-o, nici*1 Cor. 15:1,3. Vers. 1. n-am învățat-o de la vreun om, ci prin*Efes. 3:3.Fapte 9:1;22:4;26:11. descoperirea lui Isus Hristos. 13 Ați auzit, în adevăr, care era purtarea mea de altădată, în religia iudeilor. Cum, adică, prigoneam peste*1 Tim. 1:13. măsură de mult Biserica lui Dumnezeu și făceam prăpăd*Fapte 8:3. în ea 14 și cum eram mai înaintat în religia iudeilor decât mulți din neamul meu de o vârstă cu mine. Eram însuflețit de o râvnă*Fapte 22:3;26:9.Filip. 3:6. nespus de mare pentru datinile strămoșești*Ier. 9:14.Mat. 15:2.Marcu 7:5.. 15 Dar, când Dumnezeu, care*Is. 49:1,5.Ier. 1:5.Fapte 9:15;13:2;22:14,15.Rom. 1:1. m-a pus deoparte din pântecele maicii mele și m-a chemat prin harul Său, a găsit cu cale 16 să*2 Cor. 4:6. descopere în mine pe Fiul Său, ca să-L vestesc*Fapte 9:15;22:21;26:17,18.Rom. 11:13.Efes. 3:8. între neamuri, îndată n-am întrebat pe niciun om*Mat. 16:17.1 Cor. 15:50.Efes. 6:12., 17 nici nu m-am suit la Ierusalim, la cei ce au fost apostoli înainte de mine, ci m-am dus în Arabia. Apoi m-am întors din nou la Damasc. 18 După trei ani, m-am suit*Fapte 9:26. la Ierusalim să fac cunoștință cu Chifa și am rămas la el cincisprezece zile. 19 Dar n-am văzut pe*1 Cor. 9:5. niciunul altul dintre apostoli decât pe*Mat. 13:55.Marcu 6:3. Iacov, fratele Domnului. 20 În cele ce vă scriu, iată*Rom. 9:1., înaintea lui Dumnezeu, nu mint. 21 După aceea*Fapte 9:30. m-am dus în ținuturile Siriei și Ciliciei. 22 Și eram încă necunoscut la față Bisericilor*1 Tes. 2:14. lui Hristos*Rom. 16:7. care sunt în Iudeea. 23 Ele auzeau doar spunându-se: „Cel ce ne prigonea odinioară acum propovăduiește credința pe care căuta s-o nimicească odinioară." 24 Și slăveau pe Dumnezeu din pricina mea.
