Apocalipse 9

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven to the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. Az ötödik angyal is trombitált, és látám, hogy egy csillag esett le az égrõl a földre, és adaték annak a mélység kútjának kulcsa.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. Megnyitá azért a mélységnek kútját: és füst jöve fel a kútból, mint egy nagy kemenczének füstje; és meghomályosodék a nap és a levegõég a kút füstje miatt.
3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. A füstbõl pedig sáskák jövének ki a földre; és adaték azoknak hatalom, mint hatalmuk van a föld skorpióinak.
4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men who have not the seal of God in their foreheads. És megmondaték nékik, hogy a földnek füvét ne bántsák, se semmi zöldelõt, se semmi élõfát, hanem csak azokat az embereket, a kiknek homlokukon nincsen az Istennek pecséte.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. És adaték azoknak, hogy meg ne öljék õket, hanem hogy kínoztassanak öt hónapig; és azoknak kínzása olyan, mint a skorpió kínzása, mikor megmarja az embert.
6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. Annakokáért azokban a napokban keresik az emberek a halált, de nem találják meg azt; és kívánnának meghalni, de a halál elmegy elõlük.
7 And the shapes of the locusts were like to horses prepared for battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. A sáskáknak formája pedig hasonló vala a viadalhoz felkészített lovakhoz; és a fejökön mintegy aranyhoz hasonló koronák valának, és az orczáik olyanok valának, mint az emberek orczái.
8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. És olyan hajuk vala, mint az asszonyok haja; és fogaik olyanok valának, mint az oroszlánoknak.
9 And they had breast-plates, as it were breast-plates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. És olyan mellvértjeik valának, mint a vas mellvértek; és az õ szárnyaik zúgása olyan vala, mint a viadalra száguldó sok lovas szekerek zúgása.
10 And they had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. És skorpiókhoz hasonló farkuk vala és fulánkjuk; és a farkukban vala a hatalmuk, hogy ártsanak az embereknek öt hónapig.
11 And they had a king over them, who is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew language is Abaddon, but in the Greek language he hath his name Apollyon. Királyukul pedig a mélység angyala vala felettök; annak a neve zsidóul Abaddon, görögül pedig Apollion, [azaz Vesztõ] a neve.
12 One woe is past; and behold, there come two woes more hereafter. Az elsõ jaj elmúlék; ímé ezután még két jaj következik.
13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, A hatodik angyal is trombitált, és hallék egy szózatot az arany oltárnak négy szarvától, a mely az Isten elõtt van,
14 mapa Saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Loose the four angels who are bound in the great river Euphrates. Mondván a hatodik angyalnak, a kinél a trombita vala: Oldd el azt a négy angyalt, a ki a nagy folyóvíznél, az Eufrátesnél van megkötve.
15 And the four angels were loosed, who were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, to slay the third part of men. Eloldaték azért a négy angyal, a ki el vala készítve az órára és napra és hónapra és esztendõre, hogy megölje az emberek harmadrészét.
16 And the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. És a lovas seregek száma két tízezerszer tízezer vala; hallottam a számukat.
17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breast-plates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions: and out of their mouths issued fire, and smoke, and brimstone. És így látám a lovakat látásban, és a rajtuk ülõket, a kiknek tûzbõl és jáczintból és kénkõbõl való mellvértjeik valának; és a lovak feje olyan vala, mint az oroszlánok feje; és szájukból tûz és füst és kénkõ jõ vala ki.
18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. E háromtól öleték meg az emberek harmadrésze, a tûztõl és a füsttõl és a kénkõtõl, a mely azoknak szájából jõ vala ki.
19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like to serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. Mert az õ hatalmuk az õ szájukban van, és az õ farkukban; mert az õ farkaik a kígyókhoz hasonlók, a melyeknek fejeik vannak; és azokkal ártanak.
20 And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: A többi emberek pedig, a kik meg nem ölettek e csapásokkal, nem tértek meg az õ kezeik csinálmányaitól, hogy ne imádnák a gonosz lelkeket, és az arany és ezüst és ércz és kõ és fa bálványokat, a melyek nem láthatnak, sem hallhatnak, sem járhatnak;
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their lewdness, nor of their thefts. És nem tértek meg az õ gyilkosságaikból, sem az õ ördöngösségeikbõl, sem paráználkodásaikból, sem lopásaikból.
