49 Arão e seus filhos faziam ofertas sobre o altar do holocausto e sobre o altar do incenso, todo o serviço do lugar santíssimo e a expiação por Israel, segundo tudo quanto Moisés, servo de Deus, tinha ordenado. 50 Foi filho de Arão Eleazar, de quem foi filho Fineias, de quem foi filho Abisua, 51 de quem foi filho Buqui, de quem foi filho Uzi, de quem foi filho Zeraías, 52 de quem foi filho Meraiote, de quem foi filho Amarias, de quem foi filho Aitube, 53 de quem foi filho Zadoque, de quem foi filho Aimaás.
54 São estes os lugares que eles habitavam, segundo os seus acampamentos, dentro dos seus limites, a saber: aos filhos de Arão, das famílias dos coatitas, pois lhes caiu a sorte, 55 deram-lhes Hebrom, na terra de Judá, e os seus arredores. 56 Porém o campo da cidade com suas aldeias deram a Calebe, filho de Jefoné. 57 Aos filhos de Arão deram as cidades de refúgio: Hebrom e Libna com seus arredores, Jatir e Estemoa com seus arredores, 58 Hilém com seus arredores, Debir com seus arredores, 59 Asã com seus arredores e Bete-Semes com seus arredores; 60 da tribo de Benjamim, Geba com seus arredores, Alemete com seus arredores e Anatote com seus arredores; ao todo, treze cidades, segundo as suas famílias.
61 Aos filhos de Coate, que restaram da família da tribo, caíram por sorte dez cidades da meia tribo, metade de Manassés. 62 Aos filhos de Gérson, segundo as suas famílias, da tribo de Issacar, da tribo de Aser, da tribo de Naftali e da tribo de Manassés, em Basã, caíram treze cidades. 63 Aos filhos de Merari, segundo as suas famílias, da tribo de Rúben, da tribo de Gade e da tribo de Zebulom, caíram por sorte doze cidades. 64 Assim, deram os filhos de Israel aos levitas estas cidades com seus arredores. 65 Deram-lhes por sorte, da tribo dos filhos de Judá, da tribo dos filhos de Simeão e da tribo dos filhos de Benjamim, estas cidades, que são mencionadas nominalmente. 66 A algumas das famílias dos filhos de Coate foram dadas cidades dos seus territórios da parte da tribo de Efraim. 67 Pois lhes deram as cidades de refúgio, Siquém com seus arredores, na região montanhosa de Efraim, como também Gezer com seus arredores, 68 Jocmeão com seus arredores, Bete-Horom com seus arredores, 69 Aijalom com seus arredores e Gate-Rimom com seus arredores; 70 e, da meia tribo de Manassés, Aner com seus arredores e Bileã com seus arredores foram dadas às demais famílias dos filhos de Coate.
71 Aos filhos de Gérson, da família da meia tribo de Manassés, deram, em Basã, Golã com seus arredores e Astarote com seus arredores; 72 e da tribo de Issacar: Quedes com seus arredores, Daberate com seus arredores, 73 Ramote com seus arredores e Aném com seus arredores; 74 e da tribo de Aser: Masal com seus arredores, Abdom com seus arredores, 75 Hucoque com seus arredores e Reobe com seus arredores; 76 e da tribo de Naftali na Galileia: Quedes com seus arredores, Hamom com seus arredores e Quiriataim com seus arredores. 77 Os demais filhos de Merari receberam, da tribo de Zebulom, Rimono com seus arredores e Tabor com seus arredores; 78 e dalém do Jordão, na altura de Jericó, ao oriente do Jordão, deram-se-lhes, da tribo de Rúben, Bezer com seus arredores no deserto, Jaza com seus arredores, 79 Quedemote com seus arredores e Mefaate com seus arredores; 80 e da tribo de Gade em Gileade: Ramote com seus arredores, Maanaim com seus arredores, 81 Hesbom com seus arredores e Jazer com seus arredores.

16 The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari. 17 And these are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei. 18 And the sons of Kohath were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel. 19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers’ houses. 20 Of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son, 21 Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeatherai his son. 22 The sons of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son, 23 Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son, 24 Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son. 25 And the sons of Elkanah: Amasai, and Ahimoth. 26 As for Elkanah, the sons of Elkanah: Zophai his son, and Nahath his son, 27 Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son. 28 And the sons of Samuel: the first-born, Joel, and the second Abijah. 29 The sons of Merari: Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son, 30 Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

49 But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of burnt-offering, and upon the altar of incense, for all the work of the most holy place, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded. 50 And these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son, 51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son, 52 Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son, 53 Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.
54 Now these are their dwelling-places according to their encampments in their borders: to the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites (for theirs was the first lot), 55 to them they gave Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it; 56 but the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh. 57 And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge, Hebron; Libnah also with its suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa with its suburbs, 58 and Hilen with its suburbs, Debir with its suburbs, 59 and Ashan with its suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with its suburbs; 60 and out of the tribe of Benjamin, Geba with its suburbs, and Allemeth with its suburbs, and Anathoth with its suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.
61 And unto the rest of the sons of Kohath were given by lot, out of the family of the tribe, out of the half-tribe, the half of Manasseh, ten cities. 62 And to the sons of Gershom, according to their families, out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities. 63 Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, according to their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities. 64 And the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities with their suburbs. 65 And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities which are mentioned by name.
66 And some of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim. 67 And they gave unto them the cities of refuge, Shechem in the hill-country of Ephraim with its suburbs; Gezer also with its suburbs, 68 and Jokmeam with its suburbs, and Beth-horon with its suburbs, 69 and Aijalon with its suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; 70 and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Aner with its suburbs, and Bileam with its suburbs, for the rest of the family of the sons of Kohath.
71 Unto the sons of Gershom were given, out of the family of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with its suburbs, and Ashtaroth with its suburbs; 72 and out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh with its suburbs, Daberath with its suburbs, 73 and Ramoth with its suburbs, and Anem with its suburbs; 74 and out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal with its suburbs, and Abdon with its suburbs, 75 and Hukok with its suburbs, and Rehob with its suburbs; 76 and out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its suburbs, and Hammon with its suburbs, and Kiriathaim with its suburbs.
77 Unto the rest of the Levites, the sons of Merari, were given, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono with its suburbs, Tabor with its suburbs; 78 and beyond the Jordan at Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, were given them, out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with its suburbs, and Jahzah with its suburbs, 79 and Kedemoth with its suburbs, and Mephaath with its suburbs; 80 and out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its suburbs, and Mahanaim with its suburbs, 81 and Heshbon with its suburbs, and Jazer with its suburbs.

35 the son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,

39 and Heman's associate Asaph, who served at his right hand: Asaph son of Berekiah, the son of Shimea,
40 the son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, "the son of Malkijah,
41 the son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah,
42 the son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,

44 and from their associates, the Merarites, at his left hand: Ethan son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluk,

48 Their fellow Levites were assigned to all the other duties of the tabernacle, the house of God.
49 But Aaron and his descendants were the ones who presented offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense in connection with all that was done in the Most Holy Place, making atonement for Israel, in accordance with all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
50 These were the descendants of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,
51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,
52 Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,
53 Zadok his son and Ahimaaz his son.
54 These were the locations of their settlements allotted as their territory (they were assigned to the descendants of Aaron who were from the Kohathite clan, because the first lot was for them):
55 They were given Hebron in Judah with its surrounding pasturelands.
56 But the fields and villages around the city were given to Caleb son of Jephunneh.
57 So the descendants of Aaron were given Hebron (a city of refuge), and Libnah, "Jattir, Eshtemoa,
58 Hilen, Debir,
59 Ashan, Juttah "and Beth Shemesh, together with their pasturelands.
60 And from the tribe of Benjamin they were given Gibeon, "Geba, Alemeth and Anathoth, together with their pasturelands. The total number of towns distributed among the Kohathite clans came to thirteen.
61 The rest of Kohath's descendants were allotted ten towns from the clans of half the tribe of Manasseh.
62 The descendants of Gershon, clan by clan, were allotted thirteen towns from the tribes of Issachar, Asher and Naphtali, and from the part of the tribe of Manasseh that is in Bashan.
63 The descendants of Merari, clan by clan, were allotted twelve towns from the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Zebulun.
64 So the Israelites gave the Levites these towns and their pasturelands.
65 From the tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin they allotted the previously named towns.
66 Some of the Kohathite clans were given as their territory towns from the tribe of Ephraim.
67 In the hill country of Ephraim they were given Shechem (a city of refuge), and Gezer, [^11]
68 Jokmeam, Beth Horon,
69 Aijalon and Gath Rimmon, together with their pasturelands.
70 And from half the tribe of Manasseh the Israelites gave Aner and Bileam, together with their pasturelands, to the rest of the Kohathite clans.
71 The Gershonites received the following: From the clan of the half-tribe of Manasseh they received Golan in Bashan and also Ashtaroth, together with their pasturelands;
72 from the tribe of Issachar they received Kedesh, Daberath,
73 Ramoth and Anem, together with their pasturelands;
74 from the tribe of Asher they received Mashal, Abdon,
75 Hukok and Rehob, together with their pasturelands;
76 and from the tribe of Naphtali they received Kedesh in Galilee, Hammon and Kiriathaim, together with their pasturelands.
77 The Merarites (the rest of the Levites) received the following: From the tribe of Zebulun they received Jokneam, Kartah, "Rimmono and Tabor, together with their pasturelands;
78 from the tribe of Reuben across the Jordan east of Jericho they received Bezer in the wilderness, Jahzah,
79 Kedemoth and Mephaath, together with their pasturelands;
80 and from the tribe of Gad they received Ramoth in Gilead, Mahanaim,
81 Heshbon and Jazer, together with their pasturelands.
