1 الكلمة التي تكلم بها ارميا النبي الى باروخ بن نيريا عند كتابته هذا الكلام في سفر عن فم ارميا في السنة الرابعة ليهوياقيم بن يوشيا ملك يهوذا قائلا.2 هكذا قال الرب اله اسرائيل لك يا باروخ.3 قد قلت ويل لي لان الرب قد زاد حزنا على المي. قد غشي علي في تنهدي ولم اجد راحة4 هكذا تقول له. هكذا قال الرب. هانذا اهدم ما بنيته واقتلع ما غرسته وكل هذه الارض.5 وانت فهل تطلب لنفسك امورا عظيمة. لا تطلب. لاني هانذا جالب شرا على كل ذي جسد يقول الرب واعطيك نفسك غنيمة في كل المواضع التي تسير اليها

1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,2 Thus said the LORD, the God of Israel, to you, O Baruch:3 You did say, Woe is me now! for the LORD has added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.4 Thus shall you say to him, The LORD said thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.5 And seek you great things for yourself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil on all flesh, said the LORD: but your life will I give to you for a prey in all places where you go.
