3 El le -a vorbit despre multe lucruri în pilde, şi le -a zis: ,,Iată, sămănătorul a ieşit să samene.

4 Pe cînd sămăna el, o parte din sămînţă a căzut lîngă drum, şi au venit păsările şi au mîncat -o.

5 O altă parte a căzut pe locuri stîncoase, unde n'avea pămînt mult: a răsărit îndată, pentrucă n'a găsit un pămînt adînc.

6 Dar, cînd a răsărit soarele, s'a pălit; şi, pentrucă n'avea rădăcini, s'a uscat.

7 O altă parte a căzut între spini: spinii au crescut, şi au înecat -o.

8 O altă parte a căzut în pămînt bun, şi a dat roadă: un grăunte a dat o sută, altul şaizeci, şi altul treizeci.

9 Cine are urechi de auzit, să audă.

3 and he spake to them many things in similes, saying: Lo, the sower went forth to sow,

4 and in his sowing, some indeed fell by the way, and the fowls did come and devour them,

5 and others fell upon the rocky places, where they had not much earth, and immediately they sprang forth, through not having depth of earth,

6 and the sun having risen they were scorched, and through not having root, they withered,

7 and others fell upon the thorns, and the thorns did come up and choke them,

8 and others fell upon the good ground, and were giving fruit, some indeed a hundredfold, and some sixty, and some thirty.

9 He who is having ears to hear -- let him hear.
