Cînd a isprăvit Moise de aşezat cortul, l -a uns şi l -a sfinţit împreună cu toate uneltele lui, precum şi altarul cu toate uneltele lui; le -a uns şi le -a sfinţit. 
Atunci mai marii lui Israel, căpeteniile caselor părinţilor lor, şi-au adus darurile lor: aceştia erau mai marii seminţiilor, cari luaseră parte la numărătoare. 
Ei şi-au adus ca dar înaintea Domnului: şase cară acoperite şi doisprezece boi, adică un car la două căpetenii, şi un bou de fiecare căpetenie; şi le-au adus înaintea cortului. 
Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, şi a zis: 
,,Ia dela ei aceste lucruri, şi să le întrebuinţezi pentru slujba cortului întîlnirii; să le dai Leviţilor, fiecăruia după cum cere slujba lui.`` 
Moise a luat carăle şi boii, şi le -a dat Leviţilor. 
A dat două cară şi patru boi fiilor lui Gherşon, după cum cereau slujbele lor; 
a dat patru cară şi opt boi fiilor lui Merari, după cum cereau slujbele lor, subt cîrmuirea lui Itamar, fiul preotului Aaron. 
Dar n'a dat niciunul fiilor lui Chehat, pentrucă, după cum cereau slujbele lor, ei trebuiau să ducă lucrurile sfinte pe umeri. 
Căpeteniile şi-au adus darurile pentru tîrnosirea altarului, în ziua cînd l-au uns; căpeteniile şi-au adus darurile înaintea altarului. 
Domnul a zis lui Moise: ,,Căpeteniile să vină unul cîte unul, şi anume fiecare în cîte o zi deosebită, ca să-şi aducă darul pentru tîrnosirea altarului.`` 
Cel ce şi -a adus darul în ziua întîi, a fost Nahşon, fiul lui Aminadab, din seminţia lui Iuda. 
El a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli, plină cu tămîie, 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap, pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Nahşon, fiul lui Aminadab. 
A doua zi, şi -a adus darul Netaneel, fiul lui Ţuar, căpetenia lui Isahar. 
El a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli, plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap, pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Netaneel, fiul lui Ţuar. 
A treia zi, căpetenia fiilor lui Zabulon, Eliab, fiul lui Helon, 
a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli, plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap, pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Eliab, fiul lui Helon. 
A patra zi, căpetenia fiilor lui Ruben, Eliţur, fiul lui Şedeur, 
a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Eliţur, fiul lui Şedeur. 
A cincea zi, capetenia fiilor lui Simeon, Şelumiel, fiul lui Ţurişadai, 
a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli, plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap, pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul de mîncare al lui Şelumiel, fiul lui Ţurişadai. 
A şasea zi, căpetenia fiilor lui Gad, Eliasaf, fiul lui Deuel, 
a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli, plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap, pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Eliasaf, fiul lui Deuel. 
A şaptea zi, căpetenia fiilor lui Efraim, Elişama, fiul lui Amihud, 
a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli, plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot: 
un ţap, pentru jertfa de ispăşire: 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Elişama, fiul lui Amihud. 
A opta zi, căpetenia fiilor lui Manase, Gamliel, fiul lui Pedahţur, 
a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli, plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Gamliel, fiul lui Pedahţur. 
A noua zi, căpetenia fiilor lui Beniamin, Abidan, fiul lui Ghideoni, 
a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şapte zeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli, plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap, pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Abidan, fiul lui Ghideoni. 
A zecea zi, căpetenia fiilor lui Dan, Ahiezer, fiul lui Amişadai, 
a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur, plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap, pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Ahiezer, fiul lui Amişadai. 
A unsprezecea zi, căpetenia fiilor lui Aşer, Paguiel, fiul lui Ocran, 
a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighean de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli, plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap, pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Paguiel, fiul lui Ocran. 
A douăsprezecea zi, căpetenia fiilor lui Neftali, Ahira, fiul lui Enan, 
a adus: o farfurie de argint în greutate de o sută treizeci de sicli, un lighian de argint de şaptezeci de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş, amîndouă pline cu floare de făină, frămîntată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mîncare; 
o căţuie de aur de zece sicli, plină cu tămîie; 
un viţel, un berbece, un miel de un an, pentru arderea de tot; 
un ţap, pentru jertfa de ispăşire; 
şi, pentru jertfa de mulţămire, doi boi, cinci berbeci, cinci ţapi, cinci miei de un an. Acesta a fost darul lui Ahira, fiul lui Enan. 
Acestea au fost darurile aduse de căpeteniile lui Israel pentru tîrnosirea altarului, în ziua cînd l-au uns. Au fost douăsprezece farfurii de argint, douăsprezece ligheane de argint, douăsprezece căţuii de aur; 
fiecare farfurie de argint cîntărea o sută treizeci de sicli, şi fiecare lighian cîntărea şaptezeci de sicli, aşa că argintul acestor unelte se ridica în totul la două mii patru sute de sicli, după siclul sfîntului locaş. 
Au fost douăsprezece căţui de aur pline cu tămîie, cîte zece sicli căţuia, după siclul sfîntului locaş; aurul căţuiilor se ridica în totul la o sută douăzeci de sicli. 
Toate dobitoacele pentru arderea de tot au fost doisprezece viţei, doisprezece berbeci, doisprezece miei de un an, cu darurile de mîncare obicinuite, doisprezece ţapi, pentru jertfa de ispăşire. 
Toate dobitoacele pentru jertfa de mulţămire: douăzeci şi patru de boi, şasezeci de berbeci, şasezeci de ţapi, şasezeci de miei de un an. Acestea au fost darurile aduse pentru tîrnosirea altarului, după ce l-au uns. 
Cînd intra Moise în cortul întîlnirii ca să vorbească cu Domnul, auzea glasul care -i vorbea de pe capacul ispăşirii care era aşezat pe chivotul mărturiei, între cei doi heruvimi. Şi vorbea cu Domnul. 

And it cometh to pass on the day of Moses` finishing setting up the tabernacle, that he anointeth it, and sanctifieth it, and all its vessels, and the altar, and all its vessels, and he anointeth them, and sanctifieth them, 
and the princes of Israel (heads of the house of their fathers, they [are] princes of the tribes, they who are standing over those numbered) bring near, 
yea, they bring their offering before Jehovah, six waggons covered, and twelve oxen -- a waggon for two of the princes, and an ox for one -- and they bring them near before the tabernacle. 
And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, 
`Receive from them, and they have been to do the service of the tent of meeting, and thou hast given them unto the Levites, each according to his service.` 
And Moses taketh the waggons and the oxen, and giveth them unto the Levites. 
The two of the waggons and the four of the oxen he hath given to the sons of Gershon, according to their service, 
and the four of the waggons and the eight of the oxen he hath given to the sons of Merari, according to their service, by the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest; 
and to the sons of Kohath he hath not given, for the service of the sanctuary [is] on them: on the shoulder they bear. 
And the princes bring near the dedication of the altar in the day of its being anointed; yea, the princes bring near their offering before the altar. 
And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `One prince a day -- one prince a day -- do they bring near their offering for the dedication of the altar.` 
And he who is bringing near on the first day his offering is Nahshon son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah. 
And his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering; 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Nahshon son of Amminadab. 
On the second day hath Nethaneel son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, brought near. 
He hath brought near his offering, one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering; 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Nethaneel son of Zuar. 
On the third day, the prince of the sons of Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon; -- 
his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering; 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Eliab son of Helon. 
On the fourth day, Elizur, son of Shedeur, prince of the sons of Reuben; -- 
his offering is one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering; 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Elizur son of Shedeur. 
On the fifth day, the prince of the sons of Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai; -- 
his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering; 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai. 
On the sixth day, the prince of the sons of Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel; -- 
his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering;

On the seventh day, the prince of the sons of Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud; -- 
his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering; 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Elishama son of Ammihud. 
On the eighth day, the prince of the sons of Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur; -- 
his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering; 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Gamaliel son of Pedahzur. 
On the ninth day, the prince of the sons of Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni; -- 
his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering: 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Abidan son of Gideoni. 
On the tenth day, the prince of the sons of Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai; -- 
his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering; 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai. 
On the eleventh day, the prince of the sons of Asher, Pagiel son of Ocran; -- 
his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering; 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Pagiel son of Ocran. 
On the twelfth day, the prince of the sons of Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan; -- 
his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present; 
one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume; 
one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering; 
one kid of the goats for a sin-offering; 
and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Ahira son of Enan. 
This [is] the dedication of the altar, in the day of its being anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve silver dishes, twelve silver bowls, twelve golden spoons; 
a hundred and thirty [shekels] each silver dish, and each bowl seventy; all the silver of the vessels [is] two thousand and four hundred [shekels], by the shekel of the sanctuary. 
Golden spoons [are] twelve, full of perfume; ten [shekels] each spoon, by the shekel of the sanctuary; all the gold of the spoons [is] a hundred and twenty [shekels]; 
all the oxen for burnt-offering [are] twelve bullocks, rams twelve, lambs, sons of a year twelve, and their present; and kids of the goats twelve, for sin-offering; 
and all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace-offerings [are] twenty and four bullocks, rams sixty, he-goats sixty, lambs, sons of a year, sixty; this is the dedication of the altar, in the day of its being anointed. 
And in the going in of Moses unto the tent of meeting to speak with Him -- he doth even hear the voice speaking unto him from off the mercy-seat which [is] upon the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubs; and He speaketh unto him.
