Isaiah 60

The Lord’s Glory in Zion

1 Arise, shine, for your light has come,  * 60:1 Is 9:2; 26:19; 30:26; 51:17; 52:2; Eph 5:14

and the glory of the  Lord  shines over you.  * 60:1 = Jerusalem,* 60:1 Is 40:5; 58:8; Mal 4:2

2 For look, darkness will cover the earth,

and total darkness the peoples;

but the Lord will shine over you,

and his glory will appear over you.

3 Nations will come to your light,

and kings to your shining brightness.  * 60:3 Is 42:6; 49:6; Rv 21:24
