1 你要张开喉咙呼叫， 不可停止； 你要提高声音， 像吹号角一样； 你要向我子民宣告他们的过犯， 向雅各家陈明他们的罪恶。

2 他们天天寻求我， 乐意明白我的道路， 好像行义的国民， 不离弃他们 神的公理； 他们向我求问公义的判语， 又喜欢亲近 神。

3 他们说： "为什么我们禁食， 你不看呢？为什么我们刻苦己身， 你不理会呢？"看哪！ 你们在禁食的日子， 仍然追求自己喜欢作的事， 欺压为你们作工的人。

4 看哪！ 你们禁食， 结果是吵闹和打架， 用凶恶的拳头打人； 你们不要像今天这样的禁食， 使你们的声音可以听闻于天上。

5 使人刻苦自己的日子， 这样的禁食是我拣选的吗？难道只是叫人垂头像一根苇子， 用麻布和炉灰铺在下面吗？你可以称这是禁食， 为耶和华所悦纳的日子吗？

6 我所拣选的禁食不是这样吗？不是要松开凶恶的锁链， 解开轭上的绳索， 使被压迫的获得自由， 折断所有的轭吗？

7 不是要把你的食物分给饥饿的人， 把流浪的穷困人接到你的家里， 见到赤身露体的， 给他衣服蔽体， 不可逃避自己的骨肉而不顾恤吗？

8 这样， 你的光就必突然发出， 像黎明的曙光， 你的伤口就必快快复原； 你的公义就必行在你的前面， 耶和华的荣耀要作你的后盾。

9 那时， 你求告， 耶和华必应允； 你呼求， 他必说： "我在这里！ "你若从你中间除掉欺压人的轭， 除去指责人的指头和恶毒的言语，

10 你的心若顾念饥饿的人， 使困苦的人得到饱足， 你的光就必在黑暗中升起来， 你的幽暗必如日中天。

11 耶和华必常常引导你， 在干旱之地使你的心灵饱足， 使你的骨头坚强有力； 你必像有水源浇灌的园子， 又像水流不绝的泉源。

12 你的子孙必重建久已荒废之处， 你必重建历代拆毁了的根基； 你要称为修补破口的人， 重修路径给人居住的人。

13 "因安息日的缘故， 你若转离你的脚步； 在我的圣日不作你喜欢作的； 你若称安息日为可喜乐的， 称耶和华的圣日为可尊重的； 你若尊重这日， 不作自己的事， 不寻求自己所喜悦的， 或不说无谓的话，

14 你就必以耶和华为乐， 我要使你乘驾地的高处， 用你祖雅各的产业喂养你。"这是耶和华亲口说的。

1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and declare unto my people their transgression, and to the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near unto God. 3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find your own pleasure, and exact all your labors. 4 Behold, ye fast for strife and contention, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye fast not this day so as to make your voice to be heard on high. 5 Is such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a rush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Jehovah? 6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? 7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? 8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thy healing shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of Jehovah shall be thy rearward. 9 Then shalt thou call, and Jehovah will answer; thou shalt cry, and he will say, Here I am.

If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedly; 10 and if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then shall thy light rise in darkness, and thine obscurity be as the noonday; 11 and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in dry places, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. 12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places; thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, and the holy of Jehovah honorable; and shalt honor it, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: 14 then shalt thou delight thyself in Jehovah; and I will make thee to ride upon the high places of the earth; and I will feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken it.
