1 O Israel, return unto Jehovah thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.2 Take with you words, and turn to Jehovah; say unto him, Forgive all iniquity, and receive {us} graciously; so will we render the calves of our lips.3 Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, {Thou art} our God; because in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for mine anger is turned away from him.5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.6 His shoots shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, and his smell as Lebanon.7 They shall return and sit under his shadow; they shall revive {as} corn, and blossom as the vine: the renown thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.8 Ephraim {shall say}, What have I to do any more with idols? (I answer {him}, and I will observe him.) I am like a green fir-tree. -From me is thy fruit found.9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? intelligent, and he shall know them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them; but the transgressors shall fall therein.

1 以色列啊， 回转吧！ 回到耶和华你的 神那里， 因为你是因自己的罪孽跌倒的。（本节在《马索拉抄本》为14:2） 2 你们预备好要说的话， 归向耶和华， 对他说： "除去我们一切罪孽， 悦纳我们的祷告。这样我们就把嘴唇的果子献上。 3 亚述不能救我们， 我们必不再骑埃及的马； 我们亲手所做的， 我们必不再称为‘我们的 神’； 因为在你那里， 孤儿才得着怜悯。" 4 "我必医治他们背道的病， 甘心乐意爱他们， 因为我的怒气已经远离他们了。 5 我对以色列要像甘露， 他必像百合花开放； 他要扎根， 如黎巴嫩的香柏树。 6 他的幼枝必伸展， 他的荣美要像橄榄树， 他的香气必如黎巴嫩的香柏树。 7 他们必再住在我的荫下， 使五谷生长。他们必发旺像葡萄树， 他们的名声要像黎巴嫩的酒。 8 以法莲与偶像还有什么关系呢？答允他的是我， 看顾他的也是我。我像一棵青翠的松树， 你的果子是从我而得。" 9 谁是智慧人， 让他明白这些事吧！ 谁是有见识的人， 让他领会这一切吧！ 因为耶和华的道路是正直的， 义人要行在其中， 恶人却必在其上绊倒。
