1 These things Jesus spoke, and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee;

2 as thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that {as to} all that thou hast given to him, he should give them life eternal.

3 And this is the eternal life, that they should know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

4 I have glorified *thee* on the earth, I have completed the work which thou gavest me that I should do it;

5 and now glorify *me*, *thou* Father, along with thyself, with the glory which I had along with thee before the world was.

6 I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. They were thine, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy word.

7 Now they have known that all things that thou hast given me are of thee;

8 for the words which thou hast given me I have given them, and they have received {them}, and have known truly that I came out from thee, and have believed that thou sentest me.

9 I demand concerning them; I do not demand concerning the world, but concerning those whom thou hast given me, for they are thine,

10 (and all that is mine is thine, and {all} that is thine mine,) and I am glorified in them.

11 And I am no longer in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one as we.

12 When I was with them I kept them in thy name; those thou hast given me I have guarded, and not one of them has perished, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13 And now I come to thee. And these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in them.

14 I have given them thy word, and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

15 I do not demand that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them out of evil.

16 They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them by the truth: thy word is truth.

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world;

19 and I sanctify myself for them, that they also may be sanctified by truth.

20 And I do not demand for these only, but also for those who believe on me through their word;

21 that they may be all one, as thou, Father, {art} in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22 And the glory which thou hast given me I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one;

23 I in them and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one {and} that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and {that} thou hast loved them as thou hast loved me.

24 Father, {as to} those whom thou hast given me, I desire that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me, for thou lovedst me before {the} foundation of {the} world.

25 Righteous Father, -and the world has not known thee, but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

26 And I have made known to them thy name, and will make {it} known; that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them and I in them.

1 Jésus dit ces choses; puis levant ses yeux au ciel, il dit : Père, l'heure est venue, glorifie ton Fils, afin que ton Fils te glorifie;

2 Comme tu lui as donné pouvoir sur tous les hommes; afin qu'il donne la vie éternelle à tous ceux que tu lui as donnés.

3 Et c'est ici la vie éternelle, qu'ils te connaissent seul vrai Dieu, et celui que tu as envoyé, Jésus-Christ.

4 Je t'ai glorifié sur la terre, j'ai achevé l'œuvre que tu m'avais donnée à faire.

5 Et maintenant glorifie-moi, toi Père, auprès de toi, de la gloire que j'ai eue chez toi, avant que le monde fût fait.

6 J'ai manifesté ton Nom aux hommes que tu m'as donnés du monde; ils étaient tiens, et tu me les as donnés; et ils ont gardé ta parole.

7 Maintenant ils ont connu que tout ce que tu m'as donné, vient de toi.

8 Car je leur ai donné les paroles que tu m'as données, et ils les ont reçues, et ils ont vraiment connu que je suis issu de toi, et ils ont cru que tu m'as envoyé.

9 Je prie pour eux; je ne prie point pour le monde, mais pour ceux que tu m'as donnés, parce qu'ils sont tiens.

10 Et tout ce qui est mien est tien, et ce qui est tien est mien; et je suis glorifié en eux.

11 Et maintenant je ne suis plus au monde, mais ceux-ci sont au monde; et moi je vais à toi, Père saint, garde-les en ton Nom, ceux, dis-je, que tu m'as donnés, afin qu'ils soient un, comme nous [sommes un].

12 Quand j'étais avec eux au monde, je les gardais en ton Nom; j'ai gardé ceux que tu m'as donnés, et pas un d'eux n'est péri, sinon le fils de perdition, afin que l'Ecriture fût accomplie.

13 Et maintenant je viens à toi, et je dis ces choses [étant encore] au monde, afin qu'ils aient ma joie parfaite en eux-mêmes.

14 Je leur ai donné ta parole, et le monde les a haïs, parce qu'ils ne sont point du monde, comme aussi je ne suis point du monde.

15 Je ne te prie point que tu les ôtes du monde, mais de les préserver du mal.

16 Ils ne sont point du monde, comme aussi je ne suis point du monde.

17 Sanctifie-les par ta vérité; ta parole est la vérité.

18 Comme tu m'as envoyé au monde, ainsi je les ai envoyés au monde.

19 Et je me sanctifie moi-même pour eux, afin qu'eux aussi soient sanctifiés dans la vérité.

20 Or je ne prie point seulement pour eux, mais aussi pour ceux qui croiront en moi par leur parole.

21 Afin que tous soient un, ainsi que toi, Père, es en moi, et moi en toi; afin qu'eux aussi soient un en nous; et que le monde croie que c'est toi qui m'as envoyé.

22 Et je leur ai donné la gloire que tu m'as donnée, afin qu'ils soient un comme nous sommes un.

23 Je suis en eux, et toi en moi, afin qu'ils soient consommés en un, et que le monde connaisse que c'est toi qui m'as envoyé, et que tu les aimes, comme tu m'as aimé.

24 Père, mon désir est touchant ceux que tu m'as donnés, que là où je suis, ils y soient aussi avec moi, afin qu'ils contemplent ma gloire, laquelle tu m'as donnée; parce que tu m'as aimé avant la fondation du monde.

25 Père juste, le monde ne t'a point connu; mais moi je t'ai connu, et ceux-ci ont connu que c'est toi qui m'as envoyé.

26 Et je leur ai fait connaître ton Nom, et je le leur ferai connaître, afin que l'amour dont tu m'as aimé, soit en eux, et moi en eux.
