1 And I, brethren, have not been able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly; as to babes in Christ. 2 I have given you milk to drink, not meat, for ye have not yet been able, nor indeed are ye yet able; 3 for ye are yet carnal. For whereas there are among you emulation and strife, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man? 4 For when one says, I am of Paul, and another, I of Apollos, are ye not men?
5 Who then is Apollos, and who Paul? Ministering servants, through whom ye have believed, and as the Lord has given to each. 6 I have planted; Apollos watered; but God has given the increase. 7 So that neither the planter is anything, nor the waterer; but God the giver of the increase. 8 But the planter and the waterer are one; but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9 For we are God’s fellow-workmen; ye are God’s husbandry, God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which has been given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it. But let each see how he builds upon it.
11 For other foundation can no man lay besides that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any one build upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw, 13 the work of each shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire shall try the work of each what it is. 14 If the work of any one which he has built upon the foundation shall abide, he shall receive a reward. 15 If the work of any one shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss, but he shall be saved, but so as through the fire.
16 Do ye not know that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If any one corrupt the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.
18 Let no one deceive himself: if any one thinks himself to be wise among you in this world, let him become foolish, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written, He who takes the wise in their craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.
21 So that let no one boast in men; for all things are yours. 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things coming, all are yours; 23 and yeare Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.
1 DE manera que yo, hermanos, no pude hablaros como á 3.1 cp. 2.15.espirituales, sino como á 3.1 cp. 2.14.carnales, como á 3.1 Ef. 4.14. He. 5.13.niños en Cristo.
2 Os dí á beber 3.2 He. 5.12,13.leche, y no vianda: 3.2 Jn. 16.12.porque aun no podíais, ni aun podéis ahora;
3 Porque todavía sois carnales: pues habiendo entre vosotros celos, y 3.3 cp. 1.11.contiendas, y disensiones, ¿no sois carnales, y andáis como hombres?
4 Porque diciendo el uno: 3.4 cp. 1.12.Yo cierto soy de Pablo; y el otro: Yo de 3.4 Hch. 18.24.Apolos; ¿no sois carnales?
5 ¿Qué pues es Pablo? ¿y qué es Apolos? 3.5 cp. 4.1. 2 Co. 3.3.Ministros por los cuales habéis creído; y 3.5 cp. 12.18.eso según que 3.5 Ro. 12.3,6. 1 P. 4.11.a cada uno ha concedido el Señor.
6 Yo 3.6 Hch. 18.4-11. cp. 4.15 y 9.1planté, 3.6 Hch. 18.27.Apolos regó: 3.6 cp. 15.10.mas Dios ha dado el crecimiento.
7 Así que, ni el que planta es algo, ni el que riega; sino Dios, que da el crecimiento.
8 Y el que planta y el que riega son una misma cosa; aunque 3.8 cp. 4.5 y 9.16,17.cada uno recibirá su recompensa conforme á su labor.
9 Porque 3.9 2 Co. 6.1.nosotros, coadjutores somos de Dios; y vosotros labranza de Dios sois, 3.9 Ef. 2.20. Col. 2.7.edificio de Dios sois.
10 Conforme á la gracia de Dios que me ha sido dada, yo como perito arquitecto puse el fundamento, y otro edifica encima: empero cada uno vea cómo sobreedifica.
11 Porque nadie puede poner otro fundamento que el que está puesto, 3.11 Ef. 2.20.el cual es Jesucristo.
12 Y si alguno edificare sobre este fundamento oro, plata, piedras preciosas, madera, heno, hojarasca;
13 La obra 3.13 cp. 4.5.de cada uno será manifestada: porque 3.13 Mal. 3.17. cp. 1.8el día la declarará; porque 3.13 2 Ts. 1.8.por el fuego será manifestada; y la obra de cada uno cuál sea, el fuego hará la prueba.
14 Si permaneciere la obra de alguno que sobreedificó, recibirá recompensa.
15 Si la obra de alguno fuere quemada, 3.15 Lc. 9.25.será perdida: él empero será salvo, mas así 3.15 Jud. 23.como por fuego.
16 ¿No sabéis 3.16 cp. 6.19. 2 Co. 6.16. Ef. 2.21.que sois templo de Dios, y que 3.16 Ro. 8.9. 2 Ti. 1.14.el Espíritu de Dios mora en vosotros?
17 Si alguno violare el templo de Dios, Dios destruirá al tal: porque el templo de Dios, el cual sois vosotros, santo es.
18 Nadie 3.18 Ga. 6.3.se engañe á sí mismo: 3.18 cp. 8.2.si alguno entre vosotros parece ser sabio en 3.18 cp. 2.6.este siglo, hágase simple, para ser sabio.
19 Porque 3.19 cp. 1.20 y 2.6.la sabiduría de esta mundo es necedad para con Dios; pues escrito está: 3.19 Job 5.13.El que prende á los sabios en la astucia de ellos.
20 Y otra vez: 3.20 Sal. 94.11.El Señor conoce los pensamientos de los sabios, que son vanos.
21 Así que, 3.21 cp. 4.6 y 5.6.ninguno se gloríe en los hombres; porque todo es vuestro,
22 Sea Pablo, sea Apolos, sea 3.22 cp. 1.12.Cefas, sea el mundo, sea la vida, sea la muerte, sea 3.22 Ro. 8.38.lo presente, sea lo por venir; 3.22 Ro. 8.28.todo es vuestro;
23 Y 3.23 2 Co. 10.7. Ga. 3.29.vosotros de Cristo; y Cristo de Dios.
