Apocalipse 13

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea; and I saw a beast rising out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon its horns ten diadems, and upon its heads names of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like to a leopardess, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as a lion’s mouth; and the dragon gave to it his power, and his throne, and great authority; 3 and one of his heads was as slain to death, and his wound of death had been healed: and the whole earth wondered after the beast. 4 And they did homage to the dragon, because he gave the authority to the beast; and they did homage to the beast, saying, Who is like to the beast? and who can make war with it? 5 And there was given to it a mouth, speaking great things and blasphemies; and there was given to it authority to pursue its career forty-two months. 6 And it opened its mouth for blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle, and those who have their tabernacle in the heaven. 7 And there was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and there was given to it authority over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation; 8 and all that dwell on the earth shall do it homage, every one whose name had not been written from the founding of the world in the book of life of the slain Lamb. 9 If any one has an ear, let him hear. 10 If any one leads into captivity, he goes into captivity. If any one shall kill with the sword, he must with the sword be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

11 And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and it had two horns like to a lamb, and spake as a dragon; 12 and it exercises all the authority of the first beast before it, and causes the earth and those that dwell in it to do homage to the first beast, whose wound of death was healed. 13 And it works great signs, that it should cause even fire to come down from heaven to the earth before men. 14 And it deceives those that dwell upon the earth by reason of the signs which it was given to it to work before the beast, saying to those that dwell upon the earth to make an image to the beast, which has the wound of the sword, and lived. 15 And it was given to it to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should also speak, and should cause that as many as should not do homage to the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And it causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bondmen, that they should give them a mark upon their right hand or upon their forehead; 17 and that no one should be able to buy or sell save he that had the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of its name. 18 Here is wisdom. He that has understanding let him count the number of the beast: for it is a man’s number; and its number is six hundred and sixty-six.

1 Y YO me paré sobre la arena del mar, y vi ✝13.1 Dn. 7.3.una bestia subir del mar, ✝13.1 cp. 12.3.que tenía siete cabezas y diez cuernos; y sobre sus cuernos diez diademas; y sobre las cabezas de ella nombre de blasfemia.

2 Y la bestia que vi, ✝13.2 Dn. 7.6.era semejante á un leopardo, ✝13.2 Dn. 7.5.y sus pies como de oso, y ✝13.2 Dn. 7.4.su boca como boca de león. Y ✝13.2 cp. 12.3.el dragón le dió su poder, y su trono, y grande potestad.

3 Y vi una de sus cabezas como herida de muerte, y la llaga de su muerte fué curada: y ✝13.3 cp. 17.8.se maravilló toda la tierra en pos de la bestia.

4 Y adoraron al dragón que había dado la potestad á la bestia, y adoraron á la bestia, diciendo: ¿Quién es semejante á la bestia, y quién podrá lidiar con ella?

5 Y le fué dada ✝13.5 Dn. 7.8,11,20,25.boca que hablaba grandes cosas y blasfemias: y le fué dada potencia de obrar ✝13.5 cp. 11.2.cuarenta y dos meses.

6 Y abrió su boca en blasfemias contra Dios, para blasfemar su nombre, y su tabernáculo, y á los que moran en el cielo.

7 Y le fué dado hacer guerra contra los santos, y vencerlos. También le fué dada potencia sobre toda tribu y pueblo y lengua y gente.

8 Y todos los que moran en la tierra le adoraron, cuyos nombres no están escritos en ✝13.8 Dn. 12.1. cp. 3.5el libro de la vida ✝13.8 cp. 5.6,12.del Cordero, el cual fué muerto ✝13.8 Ef. 1.4.desde el principio del mundo.

9 Si alguno tiene oído, ✝13.9 cp. 2.7.oiga.

10 ✝ 13.10 Is. 33.1. El que lleva en cautividad, va en cautividad: ✝13.10 Mt. 26.52.el que á cuchillo matare, es necesario que á cuchillo sea muerto. ✝13.10 cp. 14.12.Aquí está la paciencia y la fe de los santos.

11 Después vi ✝13.11 cp. 16.13.otra bestia ✝13.11 cp. 12.12.que subía de la tierra; y tenía dos cuernos semejantes á los ✝13.11 cp. 5.6.de un cordero, mas hablaba como un dragón.

12 Y ejerce ✝13.12 ver. 2todo el poder de la primera bestia en presencia de ella; y hace á la tierra y á los moradores de ella adorar la primera bestia, ✝13.12 vers. 3,14cuya llaga de muerte fué curada.

13 Y ✝13.13 Mt. 24.24.hace grandes señales, ✝13.13 1 R. 18.38. 2 R. 1.10,12. Lc. 9.54.de tal manera que aun hace descender fuego del cielo á la tierra delante de los hombres.

14 Y ✝13.14 cp. 19.20.engaña á los moradores de la tierra ✝13.14 2 Ts. 2.9.por las señales que le ha sido dado hacer en presencia de la bestia, mandando á los moradores de la tierra que hagan la imagen de la bestia que tiene la herida de cuchillo, y vivió.

15 Y le fué dado que diese espíritu á la imagen de la bestia, para que la imagen de la bestia hable; y hará que cualesquiera que no ✝13.15 cp. 16.2 y 19.20 y 20.4.adoraren la imagen de la bestia sean muertos.

16 Y hacía que á todos, á los pequeños y grandes, ricos y pobres, libres y siervos, ✝13.16 Ga. 6.17. cp. 15.2 y 16.2se pusiese una marca en su mano derecha, ó en sus frentes:

17 Y que ninguno pudiese comprar ó vender, sino el que tuviera la señal, ó el nombre de la bestia, ✝13.17 cp. 15.2.o el número de su nombre.

18 Aquí hay sabiduría. El que tiene entendimiento, cuente el número de la bestia; porque ✝13.18 cp. 21.17.es el número de hombre: y el número de ella, seiscientos sesenta y seis.
