1 And I, brethren, have not been able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly; as to babes in Christ. 2 I have given you milk to drink, not meat, for ye have not yet been able, nor indeed are ye yet able; 3 for ye are yet carnal. For whereas there are among you emulation and strife, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man? 4 For when one says, I am of Paul, and another, I of Apollos, are ye not men?

5 Who then is Apollos, and who Paul? Ministering servants, through whom ye have believed, and as the Lord has given to each. 6 I have planted; Apollos watered; but God has given the increase. 7 So that neither the planter is anything, nor the waterer; but God the giver of the increase. 8 But the planter and the waterer are one; but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9 For we are God’s fellow-workmen; ye are God’s husbandry, God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which has been given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it. But let each see how he builds upon it.

11 For other foundation can no man lay besides that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any one build upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw, 13 the work of each shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire shall try the work of each what it is. 14 If the work of any one which he has built upon the foundation shall abide, he shall receive a reward. 15 If the work of any one shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss, but he shall be saved, but so as through the fire.

16 Do ye not know that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If any one corrupt the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.

18 Let no one deceive himself: if any one thinks himself to be wise among you in this world, let him become foolish, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written, He who takes the wise in their craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.

21 So that let no one boast in men; for all things are yours. 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things coming, all are yours; 23 and yeare Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

1 Cât despre mine, fraților, nu v-am putut vorbi ca unor oameni duhovnicești*Cap. 2:15., ci a trebuit să vă vorbesc ca unor oameni lumești*Cap. 2:14., ca unor prunci*Evr. 5:13. în Hristos. 2 V-am hrănit cu lapte*Evr. 5:12,13.1 Pet. 2:2., nu cu bucate tari, căci*Ioan 16:12. nu le puteați suferi, și nici acum chiar nu le puteți suferi, 3 pentru că tot lumești sunteți. În adevăr, când*Cap. 1:11;11:18.Gal. 5:20,21.Iac. 3:16. între voi sunt zavistii, certuri și dezbinări, nu sunteți voi lumești și nu trăiți voi în felul celorlalți oameni? 4 Când unul zice: „Eu*Cap. 1:12. sunt al lui Pavel!" și altul: „Eu sunt al lui Apolo", nu sunteți voi oameni de lume? 5 Cine este Pavel? Și cine este Apolo? Niște slujitori*Cap. 4:1.2 Cor. 3:3. ai lui Dumnezeu prin care ați crezut; și fiecare, după puterea*Rom. 12:3,6.1 Pet. 4:11. dată lui de Domnul. 6 Eu*Fapte 18:4,8,11. Cap. 4:15;9:1;15:1.2 Cor. 10:14,15. am sădit, Apolo*Fapte 18:24,27;19:1. a udat, dar*Cap. 1:30;15:10.2 Cor. 3:5. Dumnezeu a făcut să crească, 7 așa că nici*2 Cor. 12:11.Gal. 6:3. cel ce sădește, nici cel ce udă nu sunt nimic, ci Dumnezeu, care face să crească. 8 Cel ce sădește și cel ce udă sunt tot una, și*Ps. 62:12.Rom. 2:6. Cap. 4:5.Gal. 6:4,5.Apoc. 2:23;22:12. fiecare își va lua răsplata după osteneala lui. 9 Căci noi*Fapte 15:4.2 Cor. 6:1. suntem împreună-lucrători cu Dumnezeu. Voi sunteți ogorul lui Dumnezeu, clădirea*Efes. 2:20.Col. 2:7.Evr. 3:3,4.1 Pet. 2:5. lui Dumnezeu.

10 După*Rom. 1:5;12:3. harul lui Dumnezeu care mi-a fost dat, eu, ca un meșter-zidar înțelept, am pus temelia*Rom. 15:20. Vers. 6. Cap. 4:15.Apoc. 21:14., și un altul clădește deasupra. Dar fiecare*1 Pet. 4:11. să ia bine seama cum clădește deasupra. 11 Căci nimeni nu poate pune o altă temelie decât cea*Is. 28:16.Mat. 16:18.2 Cor. 11:4.Gal. 1:7. care a fost pusă, și care*Efes. 2:20. este Isus Hristos. 12 Iar dacă clădește cineva pe această temelie aur, argint, pietre scumpe, lemn, fân, trestie, 13 lucrarea fiecăruia*Cap. 4:5. va fi dată pe față: ziua Domnului o va face cunoscută, căci se va descoperi*1 Pet. 1:7;4:12. în foc*Luca 2:35.. Și focul va dovedi cum este lucrarea fiecăruia. 14 Dacă lucrarea zidită de cineva pe temelia aceea rămâne în picioare, el va*Cap. 4:5. primi o răsplată. 15 Dacă lucrarea lui va fi arsă, își va pierde răsplata. Cât despre el, va fi mântuit, dar*Iuda 23. ca prin foc.

16 Nu*Cap. 6:19.2 Cor. 6:16.Efes. 2:21,22.Evr. 3:6.1 Pet. 2:5. știți că voi sunteți Templul lui Dumnezeu și că Duhul lui Dumnezeu locuiește în voi? 17 Dacă nimicește cineva Templul lui Dumnezeu, pe acela îl va nimici Dumnezeu, căci Templul lui Dumnezeu este sfânt, și așa sunteți voi. 18 Nimeni*Prov. 3:7.Is. 5:21. să nu se înșele: Dacă cineva dintre voi se crede înțelept în felul veacului acestuia, să se facă nebun, ca să ajungă înțelept. 19 Căci*Cap. 1:20;2:6. înțelepciunea lumii acesteia este o nebunie înaintea lui Dumnezeu. De aceea este scris: „El*Iov 5:13. prinde pe cei înțelepți în viclenia lor." 20 Și iarăși: „Domnul*Ps. 94:11. cunoaște gândurile celor înțelepți. Știe că sunt deșarte." 21 Nimeni*Cap. 1:12. Vers. 4-6. Cap. 4:6. să nu se fălească dar cu oameni, căci toate lucrurile sunt ale voastre: 22 fie Pavel, fie Apolo, fie Chifa, fie lumea, fie viața, fie moartea, fie lucrurile de acum, fie cele viitoare, toate*2 Cor. 4:5,15. sunt ale voastre 23 și*Rom. 14:8. Cap. 11:3.2 Cor. 10:7.Gal. 3:29. voi sunteți ai lui Hristos, iar Hristos este al lui Dumnezeu.
